You were the type of person
Who could smile sitting in the sun
And somehow make a day seem even brighter
The fields of sunflowers your favourite place
You'd bring me there after classes
On the warm summer days
We'd sit together under the sun
And I'd watch your smile
And the shift of color in your eyes
You would watch me laugh
At your funny faces
When we returned from the fields
I had always tanned
And you had always burned
You looked like you were always blushing
It was lovely
