Jimin was hard at work under the hood of his beat up Chevrolet as it was quiet at the garage that evening. The sun had started to set and cast a warm glow over Jimin as he hummed and took apart the old engine, cleaning each piece thoroughly and lining it up on a tarp, so like a jigsaw he could piece it all together later. Business had been slow all day, so Sun-min had taken the opportunity to leave early, entrusting Jimin to lock up.
Sun-min liked Jimin, he was a good kid, polite, a little quiet at times, but he didn't mind that. He hated most of the overprivileged stuck up little shits who brought their flash cars in to be serviced, they smelled of money and bad attitudes. He knew Jimin's family worked hard, but sometimes struggled, and knew that Jimin's wage would be going in the family pot. So he gifted him his old car, and often stuck a few extra wons in his pay packet, just for him, it was an unspoken agreement between the two.
Jimin had come from his art class, so his clothes were now full of paint and oil, it was hot and he was starting to sweat uncomfortably, so he removed his shirt, wiping his moist brow and throwing it in a corner somewhere. He turned the volume of the radio way up and sang along heartily to a popular song. Totally lost in the music and his task of 'operation Chevy', he began swaying hips hips and dancing to the music. He was a pretty good dancer and had studied it a little before his parents had no longer been able to afford it. So using a wrench as his microphone, he twirled and dropped in a beyonce style move, not realising he had an audience of one watching him with a lazy smile.
Yoongi had been at a loose end, the evenings were long and often lonely when Namjoon was pulling a double shift, so he'd decided to go for a walk. He found himself in the direction of Sun-min's garage, it was a little run down place, set on the edge of town with not much surrounding it. It wasn't a popular area of the town, there were remnants of other failed businesses that had long gone, with boarded up shop fronts and sale signs. The big shopping complex built about 10 years ago had squeezed the life out of little stores, but Sun-min was the best mechanic around, so he'd managed to keep afloat.
Yoongi could see the light from the garage ahead and heard the loud music as he approached, piquing his curiosity. He was planning on meeting Jimin to walk him home after he'd been having trouble with a few assholes at school, namely Taehyung and his morons. Jimin had said he didn't need protection, but the kid packed about as much punch as a cherry coke, and this brought out his fiercely protective side.
The sight before him made him stop in his tracks. Jimin, shirtless, sweaty and grinding around the hood of a car like he worked in a freaking strip club. If he hadn't found it so fucking hot, he'd be laughing right now. But he leaned on the door frame, staying silent and enjoying the show. If Jimin was his, he'd be ramming him against the wall and fucking his brains out right now Yoongi found himself thinking. To say Jimin was a virgin, he knew how to work his petite body, and there was something about the innocence of it all that Yoongi found an incredible turn on.
Yoongi knew he had to diffuse this situation in front of him, before the situation in his pants became unbearable, so with a lazy smile he began to applaud Jimin slowly. Jimin froze, then spun around blushing furiously when he knew he'd been caught, a sheepish smile creeping over his face when he saw it was Yoongi. "Fuck Yoongs, you scared the living crap outta me" he laughed with obvious embarrassment. "Don't stop on my account" teased Yoongi "I hear dream boys are holding auditions" he laughed. "Fuck off" Jimin laughed throwing an oily rag at his friend as he went to retrieve his shirt balled up in the corner.
"Ah, don't cover up, I was enjoying the view" continued Yoongi, as he momentarily cringed inside. The boys had always shared banter, but it had never been the flirty kind, and this was dangerously border-lining on that. Yoongi looked up to gauge Jimin's reaction , he was blushing as he buttoned up his shirt, but quickly collected himself and scoffed "you couldn't afford a private show anyway" with both boys giggling and falling in synch with their usual comfortable chat.
Yoongi threw Jimin a soda and they both sat on the floor, leaning up against the outside of the garage to enjoy the quiet evening view. Yoongi sparked up a cigarette, leaned his head back with his eyes closed and breathed in his favourite poison as they sat side by side. "You know they'll kill you?" asked Jimin. "Aren't we all just destined to die anyway?" Yoongi mused, twirling the lit stick around in his fingers. Jimin gently took the cigarette and stubbed it out "maybe I don't wanna lose you" he whispered. Yoongi was about to reply when the loud screech of car tyres and loud music came blaring towards the garage.
Jimin got up and met the bright lights of the car as Yoongi watched on from his spot. "Fuck" Jimin whispered, it was Taehyung in his macho black corvette, Jungkook in the passenger seat. Taehyung smirked as he popped the hood of the car "needs an oil check" he stated, "and you can give the windshield a quick wipe while you're at it" he sneered, looking at Jimin like vermin. "Hi Jimin" smiled Jungkook from his rolled down window, Jimin nodding and smiling with a faint blush. Taehyung spotted Yoongi sat by the garage and looked at him with disgust. "You need to cut the engine so I can check the oil" Jimin stated, "my pleasure" sneered Taehyung.
"So, this is what you do for a living huh?" questioned Tae mockingly. Jimin ignored the comment and went to take the dip stick from the engine, leaning into the open hood of the car. The horn blasted right in his ear, Yoongi standing on the defence, but Jimin giving him a nod to tell him it was ok, he half expected some sort of childish behaviour from the douche. "Sorry about that" Tae smiled "my hand slipped". "Why don't you cut it out" snapped Jungkook, "why don't you mind your own business" Tae snapped back, obviously pissed that his boyfriend was taking sides.
Jimin looked between the pair and the obvious tension, "you like looking at my boyfriend don't you?" Tae challenged. Jimin said nothing, Jungkook snorted in disgust at Tae's behaviour and Yoongi was clenching his jaw about to intervene. "Why don't you just shut up Tae" said Jungkook obviously mortified, "What?, he likes looking at you" said Tae like he was the innocent party. Jimin slammed the hood down noticing Jungkook looking at him, it was a look that made him feel better, soft and concerned, perhaps even curious and a little inviting. Tae was beginning to see red by this point "I suggest you keep your eyes and your mind of my fucking property" he sneered angrily.
Yoongi marched towards the corvette, crow bar in hand, and intent in his eyes. For that split moment Taehyungs cool slipped and he genuinely looked alarmed. He threw a wad of wons at Jimin's feet as Jimin held back his friend from causing criminal damage. Composing himself quickly as he flashed a boxed smile, crunched the car into gear and burned rubber out of the station. Jimin let go of Yoongi who was pissed off. He smiled as he said "he's gonna be having a bit of car trouble" as he took Taehyungs dip stick from his back pocket and threw it in the trash. Yoongi laughed at his friends deviousness, but soon became serious "So, you gonna tell me about your crush on golden boy now?" he asked...
