Chapter 2

It was her usual day, walking from her house to their school. Wearing her sailor uniform, Mikazuki Aya tried her best not to stand out, but then again, it was impossible; people were looking at her. Her magnificent long black hair, long eyelids, rosy cheeks and lips, a fair white skin, her appearance was an eye candy, but also a reason of jealousy. Her appearance is superior compared to others, and it was no doubt about that. Above to that, her clear grey eyes were magnificent that people thought she was wearing contact lenses, but not.

She didn't have school, but just club activity even though it's golden week. She was the manager of the basketball club since 2nd year of middle, because her friend asked her too when she got injured. She enjoyed it, thus she also joined when she became high school.

But because of that, she became the center of arguments, and jealousy, especially to girl's side. She didn't care at all, since she was just doing her job.

However, things got more serious when a rumour of her going out with the current captain circulated, and even her only friend believed on it. Hatred covered since her only friend liked the captain of the basketball club. In the end, Aya only talks to others if necessary, and if it's the basketball members. She put barrier around her. Not letting anyone to come to her life.

"It's Golden week, it's my birthday, why do I need to be here?" She mumbled as she entered the school

The other students attending club activities greeted her, and she just smiled back at them.

"Aya" she turned around and there her only friend before, stood with a smile, they were at the same height, and her friend has a shoulder length hair, and has a fair white skin. "happy birthday." Her dark eyes looked straight at her, but Aya could see that it was blank and her words were obviously empty

"Thank you, Runa"

"Do you have time?" She asked as she approached her "It's been a while, so let's talk. I want to clear things up with you"

"I apologize that I can't at the moment. I need to see coach now. I have time before their practice starts. Will that work?"

"Yes, then, go to the Hashi Bridge. I'll wait you there" hey friend bowed down and left.

"Mikazuki-chan?" She turned to that voice and smile lightly seeing the current captain of the basketball club "aren't you going to see coach? Ah, also, Happy Birthday"

"Thank you. And yes. I'm on my way there. Also, captain, I'll be talking to Runa later, so I'll be a bit late."

"Finally? I mean, because of me, your friendship-"

"It's fine. It's just a misunderstanding."

"But, I am serious when I said that I like you, Mikazuki Aya" the captain seriously told her "It wasn't just because you are beautiful, but you are also kind, and intelligent. Your level of maturity and knowledge are very different to any others. When you decide on something, you surely do it until the end. You are calm to everything happening to you, and can easily adopt to new environments. Your kindness and empathy as well. You think others first before yourself. You will do everything for others, for whatever reason or circumstances. I love that kind of Mikazuki Aya"

Aya smiled at him and immediately responded "Thank you so much. I understand well how you feel towards me. However, I don't feel the same way."

"Your honesty and straightforward personality are on point too" he chuckled "but, I am glad that I fall in love with such an amazing woman. Happy birthday and enjoy your day"

"Thank you so much. Well then, I'll be on my way" she bowed down and before she left him, she turned to him once again and smile "Captain Kiryu, thank you very much" she again bowed down and went to see their coach
