Chapter 27

Gasping, catching their breath, it's been two days since the two entered this unknown cold kingdom. As what Prince Lariaki told them, it's winter in Munerum kingdom, and it's been snowing hard since then.

The two were running away, hiding from Munerum kingdom's soldiers. They had a theory that it seems when they entered the kingdom, it triggered a sensor and soldiers were immediately dispatched to where they were.

Luckily for the two, it was snowing hard, and their tracks were covered with snow. They found a cave and there stayed for the first night. Though, they didn't stay there for so long because the soldiers were able to find the cave as well. But again, even though Akashi couldn't teleport out of the kingdom, he was able to teleport within the area they already went to.

Afternoon of May 3rd, running here and there, the two finally found a small village.

"What should we do? Enter?" Aya asked and Akashi shook his head, and they turned around but flinched when a young man stood in front of them, he had a long tail haircut, half of his face was covered woth a cloth, baskets on his hands

"You aren't from here, and surely you are the people the soldiers are searching for?" The young man greeted removing the cloth covering half of his face

Akashi moved in front of Aya, protecting her but they were taken a back when the man smiled at them

"Don't worry, I won't tell them. Follow me, you two look so cold. The soldiers already left. They'll be back here tomorrow though."

"..."

"This village is a small village that we only have around 20 people left, and we all hate the current monarchy. Follow me. There's only my wife and I in our house."

The two looked at each other, and still on guard, but followed the man to his house.

"Honey, I am back" the man called out but the two were surprised that as they entered the house, there's only one room, and in the middle of the room, there's the heater and at the same time where they cooked food.

In front of it, there's a pregnant woman, knitting.

"Welcome back, honey- Oh, you have guests with you. Welcome, we apologize that it's too small for us"

"No, it's us who should be sorry for intruding" Aya responded

"Have a seat. Good timing, I have cooked soup to warm us up." The woman told them and was about to stand up when her husband stopped her

"Let me handle it. Don't push yourself too much."

"Your husband is right. It seems you are in your 8th months already" Aya worriedly told her, and received a warm smile from her

"I am Ami, what's your name?"

"I am Aya, and this is Seijurou."

"I forgot to introduce my name. I am Sora"

"Sora?!' The two shouted but the man laughed

"Ah, if you think the prince, I am not. I am just an 23 year old man with same name as prince Sora. We have the same birthday as well, so I was named after him." He explained then handed two bowls of soup to them. "The soup my wife cooks is the most delicious"

"Thank you" Aya responded "but is it okay? How about you two?"

"We can share for one bowl" Sora responded then sat next to his wife

"No, Aya and I will share one bowl" Akashi gave the bowl to Ami "we have enough foods for ourselves and your wife needs more"

"Yeah, ah, do you have hot water? I can prepare tea for us, while we are talking. Actually, we'll have tea instead" Aya suggested and Sora helped her to prepare the tea.
