Chapter 15

Aya cough as she emerged from the water, and somehow she felt relief that she was alive. She looked around, and swam towards the nearby land she saw.

"Am I back?" She mumbled, still trying to catch her breath. She roamed her eyes around, shivering and it was then she saw the familiar bridge. "No, there's possibility that I am in another world."

She walked on the side road, towards her own house, but there were some unfamiliar buildings, and in the end she lost her way. She returned to the bridge and was at lost if she returned to her own world, or was she sent to another world again.

"Am I back?" She again mumbled as tears ran down her cheeks, quivering since the cold breeze of winter was touching her skin, added to the reality that she emerged from the river "Am I alone again?"

"Mikazuki...senpai?" Aya turned around and there was a guy looking at her, clearly horrified looking at her "eh? Are you really Mikazuki-senpai?! Or are you a ghost...?!"

"You know me?" She asked trying to remember the guy in front of him but she couldn't see his face clearly

"Are you Mikazuki Aya-senpai? The manager of the basketball club?! I was part of the basketball club! Senpai was a year older than me, ah I'm Akutagawa Naoki. Also they said that senpai died two years ago, during her birthday. You aren't a ghost or something, right?"

"I am back. I am back in this world" Aya cried and fall on her knees "I'm really back to this world"

The guy named Akutagawa was at lost, and in the end let Aya cried, and he lend him her jacket.

Akutagawa led Aya in a nearby bench, and also bought hot chocolate for her.  Aya also remembered him already, and knew that she could trust him. He remembered what Kiyoshi told him, decided to tell him, since she indeed in need of someone to vent everything

"Thank you, and I apologize" Aya slightly bowed down and sighed

"Just to make sure, you are not ghost or anything, right?"

Aya chuckled and nodded "I am alive. Even though I was pushed off the bridge, I am still alive"

"Eh?"

"Eh?" Aya blinked fast and gasped "did I say something weird?"

"You were pushed off the bridge...?"

Aya silently smiled, and gazed towards the bridge "I didn't know what to feel. Was I happy? Angry? Sad? Which one? But, wherever I go to, my existence is just a burden to everyone"

"That's not true!" Akutagawa retorted

"Thank you" Aya smiled at him and again sighed "but, that happened."

"That's not true, senpai. When you suddenly disappeared, everyone was so worried. Your besfriend, Runa-senpai, Kizuchi Runa-senpai cried so hard, especially when the police concluded that you are already dead. Everyone mourned"

"Dead? Not missing? What did Runa tell the police?"

"She said that you were just with her before you disappeared. You were telling her how you wanted to disappear for good that you even wanted to kill yourself. They searched for you for a year, but there was no luck, they even checked if you went to different prefecture, or country, but there was no record at all, so they closed the case and concluded that you had killed yourself somewhere."

"Suicide, huh? They didn't even suspect Runa?"

"Eh? They did, but they said she didn't have any reason to do that. Besides everyone said that she is your only friend since middle school. She even promised to continue whatever you started. She became the manager of basketball again. The academic competition that you supposed to compete, she insisted to go in your stand since she is your bestfriend. She promised to continue everything you started. She is very admirable. She is the most hurt but she keep moving forward for your sake. Her last year in high school was filled for your sake. Everyone wanted her to be their bestfriend, but she said that her only bestfriend is you"
