Chapter 8

The news of Akashi circulated around that he returned safe and sound and with a gold. However, because of that, the king found out that it was the reported cave before and it was still operating, under Duke Loui. The citizens were enraged knowing that Duke Loui was getting all the golds that supposed to be for the kingdom.

"In just a week, Duke Loui is now under house arrest. The gold excavation site is now under the king's order." Aya chuckled as she crossed her arms, reading the news posted outside the noble district gate. "You really are so fast" she again chuckled then noticed couple of people with clothes she didn't see before walked behind her, and among them, she knew for sure, that the men walking ahead of them was from the noble district.

"What are you mumbling about?" Izuki asked her, as he arrived with three boxes on his hands "I'll just deliver these orders to one of our clients inside the noble district"

"Can I go with you?" She asked then grabbed one of the boxes

"Of course, actually I prefer if you will"

Truth to be told, Aya hadn't been inside the noble district since she came to this world. Why? Well, she hated it, but she was curious of the people a while ago

The two of them walked, but felt uncomfortable walking because of the eyes staring at them.

"You always feel this unwelcoming ambiance? Even though they buy stuffs from us?" Aya mumbled and received a nod from him. "The sun is so high right now. It's so hot, and the people here are adding to it" she sighed then she noticed the suspicious people she saw a while ago, and they turned towards the right back alley.

At that same time, Akashi was getting irritated since royal guards and servants were following him.

"Stop following me, for goodness sake!" Akashi ordered them but one of the guards bowed his head

"We apologize. But, according to the king, the prince is worried of your safety. So the king ordered us to be with you to ease the worry of the prince"

"The prince did?! He surely didn't, because he told us to do something" He hissed then saw Aya and Izuki. He immediately ran towards them, the guards and servants followed him.

"Akashi-sama!"

"Where are you heading?" Akashi asked the two that surprised Aya and almost dropped the box she was holding but Akashi was able to support her

"Seijurou! Don't pop-out of nowhere!"

"Sorry for startling you. It's rare, ah no, you have never been inside the noble district, so why?"

"Curiosity." Aya responded then noticed the guards and servants "it's been a week. Funny how you have more companions with you. Is that why you weren't been out for a week?"

"The king is worried of the prince" Akashi sighed that confused the two of them "he said that the prince is so worried of my safety that if I disappear, the prince will too. So in order for that not to happen, the king ordered them to look after me" as he said that, they felt how annoyed he was.

"At least understand that the king is just trying to protect the prince. The queen left him with the king after all" Aya retorted "please understand that at least, for the prince's sake too. We don't want the prince to disappear after all"

"True. We don't know yet who the prince is, but he is helping us a lot. Also, he will be the future king, so at least don't die so our future king will not die" Izuki added

"If you say it that way, I couldn't retort anymore" Akashi retreated then looked at the boxes they were holding "by the way, where are you going?"

"Ah, Himuro-san" Izuki answered "but we are lost to where is it. Noble district is too big. I only went here once though" they chuckled
