Chapter 12

"...Aya... Aya..!"

She slowly opened her eyes and saw Akashi worriedly looking down at her

"Ahre?" She suddenly gasped and sat down, roaming her eyes around, realizing that she was already inside the house

"Are you okay? When I returned I saw you lying on the ground"

Aya turned towards the garden, and felt horrified remembering what happened

~flashback~

"Get my son's life?! Why?!"

However, there was a gust of wind, and Aya couldn't hear what they were saying. It took longer, and Aya lost conscious, however, she remembered some words before she fully lost her conscious

"Again just to remind you, don't tell your son about it. Also, again, this oak tree represents the life of your son. Once the last leaf fall on the ground, it marks the end of his life as well."

~present time~

"What was that? Dream? But it looks real?!"

"Aya? Are you okay? We can do it on other time."

"Sorry, I fall asleep." She chuckled and sighed "let's start"

"Are you really sure?" Akashi worriedly asked, and she assured him. "If you say so, then first off. I'll cut that oak tree, there's not much of leaves anyways and it's not growing anymore"

"No, not the tree!" Aya immediately objected

"Aren't we going to plant a tree?"

"We can plant a tree next to it, but no, we will not touch the tree. We'll take the weeds and withered flowers first, okay? But, never touch the tree"

"Okay..." Akashi responded and suspiciously looked at Aya "but why? You sure have a good reason to it"

"... somehow, that tree is here ever since even before you were born, so at least, until the last leaf, let it stay here"

Akashi chuckled and complied to what Aya said

"I understand. It's mom's birthday anyways, so let's clean the area. But are you sure, you are okay?"

"Y-yeah, I'm okay"

Aya stood up and immediately wore gloves and got the tools they needed.

~later that day~

Aya and Akashi didn't finish the cleaning, but unexpectedly, they were almost finish. But since it was almost sunset, they decided to continue next day.

The two just decided to eat dinner there, thus Akashi head out to get their food.

That next day as well, the two decided to finish cleaning the garden, and they felt satisfied for what they did.

"So, we just need to plant a surprise tree" Akashi crossed his arms, seeing the cleaned garden "then, we'll plant flowers once the war ended"

"Yeah, let's do that"

"I'll ask Teppei-san to find me a seed. Then let's plant it."

"Somehow, this is interesting. You really give amazing ideas, Aya"

"Really?" Aya chuckled then turned to the oak tree "anyways, I'll let you know if I get a seed already"

"Let's eat then. But for today, I know a place where we can eat"

"Hmmm? Where?" Aya confusedly asked, but Akashi just grabbed her hand and they head out of the barrier, then they transported to Murasakibara's house
