Chapter 14

December 20, morning

Aya chuckled as she looked at herself in front of the mirror

"To think that this day will come again, to see myself wearing my sailor uniform"

She got her bag and sighed, making a small smile. "at least, memories."

She head down and saw no one. She knew that they left already to the store. She kept her smiling face, and doing her best to act the same. She stared on the staircase and remembered what happened early morning

~flashback~

Aya was laying down all the letters she made for each and everyone on her bed, their names were beautifully written in front of each folded letter. This time, she got white clothing and dyed them with the flowers and woods she got from the forest, creating colourful clothing. Good thing, in this world, they used quill and ink for writing, that was why Aya was able to write the letters neatly and beautifully.

Her things were already packed in her bag and the room was already cleared. She was wearing her school uniform, the uniform she was wearing when she arrived in this world.

"Aya-tan, Riko-tan already left so-" Kagetora knock then opened the door and saw Aya standing in front of her bed "Aya-tan? What's the meaning of this?"

"Kagetora-san..." Aya chuckled then faced him "it seems I couldn't hide it from you"

"Huh?"

"I am leaving tonight"

"Where are you going? ... Don't tell me...? Why you didn't tell us sooner? Do the others know?"

She shook her head and smiled "I can't tell them, since I'll be returning to my own world"

"What do you mean? Own world?"

"I am not from this world. Kiyoshi-san knows, and Kagami since he came from there as well, but he is originally from here. Anyways, I couldn't tell everyone because it was a crazy truth after all. Then I found out that people like me are illegal settlers, and are not allowed to live here. Eventually, I'll die. And it would be bad for you and for the others since you let me stay"

"But still-"

Aya started to cry and did her best to smile "I really love to stay here forever, but as I said, eventually I'll die. The misfortunes everyone experiencing, they are happening because of me. I wanted to stay here, because I experienced to have a father, a sister, a family. Friends who care for me. But I must return to my own world, even though I wanted to stay here"

"Aya" Kagetora hugged her tightly and also teared up knowing that Aya would be leaving

"Please don't tell the others. I'll be leaving tonight." Aya moved back and smiled at him "please give the letters to them once I am not here anymore."

"But..."

"Please. They also can't find out that I am from another world since it will be bad for everyone. Just tell them that it was too sudden that today is the only day I could go. Seijurou, and the others, those from Noble district, they still need to think that I am your daughter, or else it will be bad for you. I'll do everything I can do at the store for the whole day today."

Kagetora again hugged her, and caressed her hair "make sure to eat everyday. Have enough sleep, take a rest if you are tired. Always remember that it's okay to give up with something you started, as long as you did your best in trying to accomplish it. Aya, you have your family here in this world. If ever, you again return here, you'll know that you have family and friends that are waiting for you."
