Mrs. Sheldon was a grouchy old lady. The crood of the town. Everyone knows of her. The rumors passed down from generation to generation. The missing children. Some people believe she killed them. She's rumoured to be really old. Like 200 years old. Do i believe that? No. Well i didn't. Not until i met her. Than i couldn't believe what i saw. The first time i saw what she really was. Old. Really old. My name is Chloe. I work for my Dads store. I deliver things for people. Like coffee beans. Tea bags. Snacks. Whatever someone orders. Usually its to older folks houses. The ones that can't grocery shop themselves. It was the evening of my last delivery. To Mrs. Sheldons house. I knocked on the door. "Come in" a sweet soft voice replied. I walked in. The door behind me slammed shut. "Must be a draft or something" i whispered. A black cat greeted me. Then another. Followed by another. Cats of all colors. I continued on holding the bags of tea. "Mrs. Sheldon?" I called stepping over cats and clutter. "This place is like a hoarders home" i mumbled. "In here young lady" she answered. I walked into the kitchen. She was sitting in a chair at the table. Reading a book. "I have your tea Mrs" i said setting it down on the counter. "Come child have a seat" she asked politely. "I really should be going" i replied. "Please let me make us some tea" Mrs. Sheldon pleaded. "Okay maybe just a cup" i said fearing she would harm me. "You seem very tense Young lady what's your name?" She asked turning the stove on. "Chloe, Chloe Suthers." I replied sitting at the table. "Well Chloe my tea will calm you. It's made of special herbs. Herbs you only find in far away places." She said mixing the tea into a pot and letting it heat on the stove. She poured some tea into a small cup for me. I slowly sipped from the cup. "This is delicious" i blurted. She walked behind me grabbing more tea bags. I reached into my pocket. I pulled out my makeup mirror. I looked into my mirror to apply more lipstick. As the tea washed it off. I screamed! She looked into my mirror. Her reflection was of a old hideous lady. Boils and scabs. Her skin was peeling off. She had a huge mole on her face. "What's wrong my dear?" She asked putting her hand on my shoulder. "Oh uh nothing i just really need to use the bathroom" i replied shaking. "Upstairs and first door to the right" she announced. "Thanks" i said walking through the clutter and up the stairs. "I need to find a way out of here" i said checking the window. "It's sealed shut! "Oh no she's going to make me into a human stew!" I shouted. I started to feel weird. I felt sick. I Slowly opened the bathroom door. I walked to her bedroom. Candles and books. "She curses people! She's a witch! This is bad!" I stood thinking what to do. "Darling are you okay?" Mrs. Sheldon shouted. "Be right down" i yelled. I walked down the creaky stairs. I felt woozy. Light headed. "Feeling okay?" Mrs. Sheldon asked. I stumbled over a cat. Falling into the table. I held myself up. I crawled into my chair. Her face appeared in my head again. I saw her old skin peeling off her bones. The horror of what she is. A witch. And I'm going to be her stew. I had to do something anything. I grabbed the tea pot. "What are you doing young lady! Put that down!" She yelled. I heaved the pot at her. The tea drenched her. Covering her. She screeched a horrendous scream! The tea was melting her. It made her bubble and her skin slid off her bones. She crumbled to the floor. The cats changed. Changed into humans. Little kids. The cats were the missing children! I still felt woozy. I felt dizzy. The kids hugged me and thanked me. The tea was the witches curse. She invited us over for tea and turned us into cats! They said shaking. I drank her tea! That's why i feel sick. I was turning into a cat! "It's all over now though she's dead no more curse" i whispered. "Wait a minute. What's happening to me? I was growing hair. Black thick hair. I shrank. I had a tail. I had paws. I am a cat. "I shouldn't of drank that tea!"
