I'm new to Lancaster. This town holds secrets. I've heard rumors of Vampires walking in the night. That's when they feed supposedly. Draining victims of their blood. Drinking blood smoothies at midnight. This is what I've been told the past two weeks. They feast on bodies in the morgue. Since I'm the new girl in town everyone has a story to tell me. But it's my turn. I now to have a story of my own. My encounter with real Vampires! It was a cold snowy night. Almost midnight. That's when they feed in the morgue I'm told. I zipped up my purple coat and headed in to the graveyard. The cold wind stinging my face from the chill of the night. Crunching leaves beneath me as i walked through the graveyard. "This is so boring i can't believe people believe in Vampires" i told myself. The morgue stood in the distance. It was standing in the dark. The only lights were casting through the windows. "I sure hope i can get through a window" i mumbled. I checked the door. Locked. I walked to the side window. I pushed. It swung open. It creaked and squeaked. I dropped down onto a table. It wiggled i almost fell off. I looked around. "No tables with stiff people in here" i whispered. Just desks and baskets with folders. The clock on the wall read 12:02. Just after midnight i need to hurry. I walked into the hall. It was dark and long. I slowly walked down the hallway. I stopped when i heard a crunching sound. I crept up to an open door. I peeked in. "Ahhh!" My scream ran from me. I tried to cover my mouth. "A Vampire! It's true!" I cried. A Vampire slurping blood from its lifeless meal. The slurping sound made me quiver. It turned and faced me. "I'm dead! I yelled as i bolted down the hall. My shoes clicking and clacking on the bare marble floor. I ran into another room. This one had brand new caskets. No time i need to hide. I slipped inside a black one. It was quiet. I covered my mouth. Held my breath. I heard a grunting sound. "There's no where for you to go darling!" The Vampire threatened. I heard caskets being open and closed. "Only one left!" He mumbled. "Gotcha!" He shouted opening my castket. "Please don't hurt me!" I moaned. "Hurt you! I wouldn't hurt you. Change you into one of us though that's what is going to happen, I'm going to make you a Vampire like everybody else!" "Everybody else? What do you mean?" I asked politely. "This whole town is Vampire. These aren't caskets either. They are coffins! And this morgue isn't a morgue. It's our home, our layer. You been sent here on purpose young lady. The new ones in town have to be changed to live here and we thrive on new blood." A whole bunch of Vampires appeared at the door. "Mom? Dad?" I said confused. "Don't worry dear it doesn't hurt a bit we promise sweetheart!" They all bared there fangs. The Vampire that had chased me sunk his teeth into my neck. "Well i told you i had a story to tell!"
