It was a foggy cold night in the graveyard. The full moon casting shadows on the graves and trees making them look as if they danced. I crunched through wet leaves scattered around. I zipped up my pink jacket. I threw my hair into a ponytail. "If this wasn't a dare i wouldn't be here, I'd be at home sipping some hot cocoa" i told myself looking for a specific grave. "But i can't pass up a dare though" i mumbled. The graveyard wasn't to big, but it wasn't to small either. I walked to a gravestone and read the name. Lance Carver. 1891 to 1942. "The Butcher of Hark Valley, here he is!" I said to myself rubbing my chin. The grave was open. The casket was empty. "What this can't be real!" I mumbled. I heard footsteps echoing through the graveyard. I heard a faint moaning and groaning. I started to shake from fear. A man in a long black coat and cowboy hat was floating towards me. His body floated a few feet off the ground. He was surrounded in a thick fog. His face was burnt and peeling off falling onto the ground. He reached his hand out as he came towards me. He opened his mouth a screeching sound came out. "YOU WILL PAY!" He croaked. I stood frozen from fear. "I didn't do anything! Why me?" I asked shivering. He reached his bony hand out. His fingers looked like small burnt sausages. He place his hand on my shoulders. I was backing up. His open grave behind me. I was trapped. No where to go. He shoved me. I flew into the open casket. He lifted his bony arms. The casket closed. "HELP! PLEASE LET ME OUT!" i screamed. Dirt was being thrown onto the casket. He was burying me alive. SOMEONE HELP ME! I CAN'T BREATHE! I was yelling. "I'm dead. I'm trapped!" I told myself trying to catch my last breath. I awoke breathing heavy. Surrounded by darkness. It was quiet. I realized i was in my bed. It was a dream. A terrible nightmare. I was drenched in sweat. I reached for my glass of water on my nightstand. "What?" I said confused. My hand passed right through the glass. "I don't believe this!" I stood up and looked at my bed. It was covered in mud.
"Oh no it really happened! That wasn't a dream. I'm dead! I'm a ghost now!"
