My name is Candace. I've always wanted to be in a play. To act in front of hundreds of people. To be remembered. To get a standing ovation. So i joined a play. Months of rehearsals. By the end of the day I was so sore i wouldn't move unless i had to. The play is called "NIGHT OF THEE BITE." It's about a girl who hunts vampires. Seeking revenge for her brothers death. The main vampire is named Keith. He is the most powerful vampire of all. It's kind of strange though, because nobody ever sees him unless he's on stage. Nobody knows where he lives or practices. He tells people being alone helps him to be a great actor. "It creates the real vampire he says." It was the night of our first show. The stage was set. Trees, logs, bushes. A trail leading to a small house. The vampires home. Thick fog. A real deep in the woods setting. "Mr keith! I am here to avenge my brother Jacobs death! Come outside and face me!" I called to the vampire. "Well now, somebody is feeling brave enough to enter my woods" Keith replied stepping onto the porch. "Whats wrong little girl did something happen to your brother!" Keith announced slowly creeping towards me. "His death was not an accident like some say." I shouted as i jumped onto a huge boulder. Well i was hoisted onto a huge boulder with strong cables. The vampire floated towards me. "Wait this isn't in the script?" I thought to myself. He was floating without cables? "That's not possible" i said as i looked around. The theater crowd were amazed by this trick of special effects. Or was it special effects? I continued on anyway. "I will kill you Keith and be the greatest vampire hunter on the land" i shouted pulling my plastic sword from my sheeth. "Do not fool yourself my child your mortal weapons have no use on me" Keith mentioned grabbing me. "This isn't in the script either" i shrieked. "Let go of me! Put me down!" I yelled. The crowd got quiet. Oohs and ahhs filled the seats. "My child your brother payed a price for invading my layer. My home. My land! He thought he could rid of me. Well he thought wrong!" Keith yelled. My brother Jacob appeared. Floating from the house. Without cables.  Floating on his own. The crowd applauded and whistled. "Candace you see, he belongs to me now! He's a vampire now. And it's your turn to be mine!" Keith the vampire shouted laughing menacingly. "Their fangs look so real" i said backing away. "None of this is in the script" i blurted to the audience. "This is real! They really are vampires!" I started shaking i was scared. I had to do something. So i ran into the stage house. I slammed the door. "You cannot hide from us Candace!" Keith shouted as the door flung open by itself. I was shivering. I'm being chased by real vampires. "This has to be a dream" i shuttered. "I need a drink of some warm blood. I have to quench my thirst! Come out where ever you are my child" Keith threatened. "Gotcha!" He yelled grabbing me from under the table. "Stop please! Don't drink my blood please!" I begged. "To late" Jacob said baring his long shiny fangs. The crowd stood silently. Waiting for the vampire to sink its teeth into my neck. I felt a pinch. I felt dizzy. I screamed as loud as i could. The screams echoed through the theater. Blood ran down my neck. I waited for the change. Waited to be turned into a blood sucking vampire. The curtain dropped. I heard the crowd cheering and shouting. Whistling and clapping. "Huh? What's going on? Am i a vampire now?" I checked my teeth. No just normal human teeth. "Wasn't that amazing?" Keith announced. "So this was all just an act? You guys aren't really vampires? I asked still shaking. "What? Real vampires? Candace vampires aren't real. This was a play remember?" Jacob and Keith both stared at me removing there plastic fangs. "But you floated? And none of that was in the script! It all looked and felt so real!" I was confused. "You didn't notice the board with wheels on the track we were On?" Keith asked. "No the fog must of made it look like you were really floating." I said. I looked and saw the board and wheels on a track mechanism now that the fog was cleared. "And the script was changed late yesterday evening. You didn't get the new script?" Keith asked holding the script in his hand. "No i didn't" i replied feeling embarrassed. "Either way it was a great play don't you think?" Jacob asked. "I think I'm going to take a break from acting for a while" i mentioned. "Why am i still bleeding from my neck though?" I mumbled smearing the blood around my neck. I felt woozy. My heart started racing. Everything became blurry.  My teeth grew. "What's happening to me?" I felt my teeth. Fangs. Vampire fangs. "That's the thing about acting my child. You never can tell the difference between what's real and whats not!" Keith said smiling. Baring his fangs. Real fangs!
