The first night in my new house was exciting. It was kind of spooky. New creaks and groans scattering through out the house. Noises I'm not used to. I came from a tiny apartment bearly room for my parents and I. But we decided on moving. We need a bigger place. My Mother is pregnant. I'm also excited about being a big sister. I hope i get a sister! I don't want a pesky little brother. Boys are nothing but trouble. That's what my Mom always says. I walked over to my closet to close it. Something was sticking out. An axe. I shoved it inside and shut the doors. I lay here writing in my diary about my first night when i hear something. It sounds like whispering. "Hello? who's there?" I asked setting my diary down. "Helppp meee!" The voice cried. "This can't be happening!" I told myself shivering. I walked towards the voice. It's coming from down the hall. I slowly tip toed down the hall to the back bedroom. The room next to mine. I opened the door. "Help please" the voice grew louder. "Are you a ghost?" I asked peering into the room. "Come closer" it said in a polite tiny voice. It sounds like a little girl. "Are you stuck somewhere? Where are you?" I continued. The room was dark and smelled of burnt wood. The walls were burned. That's why we got the house so cheap. Someone apparently died. "Closer" the voice called. It sounds like its coming from this old mirror. A huge oval mirror on stands with a gold frame. I peeked around the mirror. "Hello are you in here still?" I asked looking towards the closet. The voice stopped. Maybe I'm hearing things. I'm just stressed from the move. I started to head back outside the room. "Don't leave come towards the mirror" it begged. I walked in front of the mirror. It grew silent again. I leaned forward and peered into the mirror. "Nooo" i screamed. As hands grabbed me and pulled me into the mirror. It made a whooshing noise like being sucked into a vacuum. "Woah what just happened" i asked myself. I stood outside the mirror. Only it wasn't an empty room. The room was filled with a bed, clothes and a dresser. "Huh where am i?" I was shaking and freezing. It was cold like a freezer. There was no light it was dark. This is my house but at the same time it wasn't. I began walking down the hall. "Weird way too weird" i mumbled. "Hello? Is anybody home?" I gushed. The pictures on the wall were of a family. I saw a Mom and a Dad with a little boy and girl. I continued on downstairs. A couch and tv. A family sitting at the dinner table in the kitchen eating with two huge candles lit. "Huh! Did i go back in time or something?" I whispered. "Can anyone hear me?" I yelled. Nothing they just continued eating. I walked around the family. "Why am i hear? What is this?" I kept telling myself. They finished eating. The parents left. The two kids were alone. One of them asked the other to play hide and seek. They chased each other for an hour back and forth. The boy was counting and the little girl went to hide. A knock on the front door startled the little boy. It looked like one of his friends. He shut the door and left. "What a jerk" i muttered. Then i heard screaming. Loud piercing screams. Echoing through out the home. I ran towards them. Up the stairs and into the bedroom. I smelled smoke. It was traveling under the door. She's going to suffocate! I said aloud. "Think Erin you need to help her!" I told myself. I couldn't open the door it was locked. I told myself trying to find a way to open the door. I ran to another bedroom. My bedroom. The one i live in now. "The axe! In my closet!" I ran to my closet and grabbed the axe. I hoisted the  axe over my shoulder and swung down at the door knob. It broke. The knob fell to the floor. I bursted inside. The little girl lay sprawled face down on the floor. I dragged her into the hallway. I ran back inside and dowsed the flames. The candles set the drapes a blaze. I trudged back to the little girl. She was coughing and breathing again. "Are you okay?" I leaned over here whispering. "Thank you Erin" she replied. I appeared back into the empty room. Standing outside the mirror. "What a wierd night" i mentioned walking out of the room. I lay on my bed thinking about what just happened. I looked over to the closet. The axe was gone. I closed my eyes thinking about the little boy leaving his sister all alone to suffocate in her bedroom. "Boys really are jerks" i mumbled.
