December 24th. Christmas is finally here and I really needed the holiday spirit. It's 10 am, I turned on some Christmas tunes to wake up my sister and got working on some pancakes.

I pranced around singing a long to "All I Want for Christmas is You," mixing the batter then cooking it on the little portable stove. I started the kettle for Cat's tea and instant coffee for myself.

"All I want for Christmas is you! Come on Cat get up! It's Christmas!" I annoyingly yelled to wake her up. I

I sounded like a dying whale with the lack of angelic vocal chords I wasn't blessed with.

"Mmm 5 more minutes. How are you this preppy in the morning when you got home at almost 4am?" She lazily replied shoving her head in the pillow once again.

"Because I am used to it!" I responded, singing the words to the beat of the song.

She giggled and finally got up. I set everything on the table then grabbed her hands to make her dance along with me. When she mustered up enough energy, she sang along with me, but singing much better of course.

"You're a child, you know that?" Catherine said, taking her spot at the small round table.

"Mhm I know!" I responded, excitedly grabbing my fork and knife to chow down.

When breakfast was done we decided to go downtown and see the winter scenery and all the pretty decorations.

We spent the whole day out together, went figure skating, bought more ornaments for our cute little table top tree at home that I managed to find at a thrift store.

Cat treated herself to a new outfit for the Christmas party tonight that consisted of a black velvet v-neck bodysuit, red checkered pants to match the red checkered dress I was going to wear. I bought myself a nice pair of thigh high boots that I never thought I could pull off, but I guess there's a first for everything.

We arrived at home at around 5pm which gave us both just enough time to get ready for the party at Lily's house at 7pm. Cat went to go shower first, so I gathered all the gifts into a big bag, that way I could carry them easily. As I was stuffing all of them one by one in the large bag, my eyes fell upon the gift that held Jasmine's Polaroid camera.

It's been a week since that big fight we got into. Now that she doesn't work in the same area as me anymore, I luckily haven't had to face her. I missed her though. There were days where I really wished I ran into her, despite her hating my guts right now. I can't blame her, I'd hate me too if I felt used. I feel guilty, sad, but I push it away for tonight because I deserve to be happy, especially on a special day like today. Still, it felt right to pack her gift with the others just in case.

"K, CJ, I'm done. No one else went into the shower so you should be good." Cat explained walking into the apartment, now in her spiffy new outfit.

I whistled at her to which she responded rolling her eyes at me, but smiling.

I get up and gather my clothes to go shower. I stood in the shower thinking again, but I was much more aware now of how lost I get in my head. So I ended my contemplation session shortly after. I get dressed, wearing a black turtle neck long sleeve under my red plaid overalls-like mini dress, and slipped on my new thigh highs. I opted for a low ponytail with some shorter pieces of hair left out to frame my face. When I got into the apartment I looked at myself in the mirror, and I felt real cute to say the least.

Catherine had all her gifts ready to go too. I grabbed Lily's  house warming gift, a bottle of her favourite strawberry wine, and we were on our way. We ordered an Uber to make it a little easier for us.
