As the teachers; All Might, Aizawa, Present Mic and Midnight; began to explain the assignments they would be graded on for the upcoming week, Izuku felt a certain excitement wash over him. This was an interesting exercise the teachers had planned and Izuku's brain was racing a million miles a minute, working overtime to come up with ideas.
All Might spoke first, his voice still booming even without the bulk of One for All aiding his figure.
"Well children, I think this is a brilliant opportunity to improve your combat and negotiation skills. All of you will be working towards getting as much spotlight time as possible once you leave UA, so it is important to learn how to behave for a camera." He broke off for a minute, spitting blood into a handkerchief. He was in his deflated form at the moment, too tired to put any effort into making a proper appearance, not that any of the kids minded. "So, we have decided that this week's assignment will be...," he broke off to glare lightly at Present Mic, producing a drumming countdown sound while Aizawa rolled his eyes and huffed." A villain assignment!"The class let out groans of annoyance and boredom or squeals of joy. Many of the squeals came from those who hadn't been a villain in any situation out by the school yet.
"Shut it. You will be split into three groups. One of each of the big three that you met in your first year, all who are now heroes themselves, will accompany your group, each of them will play some part. Every team needs a make-up and hair stylist, a camera person, a tech and microphone assistant, and then the actors. The reason for these positions is that your villain piece must be presented in the form of a film. We will watch the performance at the time and also watch the film compiled afterwards. There will be rules of course, which will be outlined in these packs." Aizawa's bored voice cut through the class, everyone going quiet to listen. "When we say film, we do not mean normal taking a video and editing. No. We will be watching you as you act, judging your performance off of that. We will see how well your team cooperate. You can either practise and get the movie perfect, or you can wing it in two days time, and show us your improv skills. The choice is yours." The glare he shot all of them straight afterwards was enough to shut them all up and straighten in their seats.
"And of course, there can be fighting elements. We want these as realistic as possible, as we will be gathering many of the teacher, who will then give you scores of your performances. Please, for the love of all things good, do not injure yourselves too bad. I don't mind a few broken bones, and this will take place over the next two days and recovery girl is at the ready, but try not to die," said Midnight, glancing pointedly at Midoriya. He looked back innocently, wondering what had gotten her involved in the Izu-shame squad. He couldn't really argue against her point though.
"The packs containing the rules and guidelines are being handed out now and do not destroy them. The set up will begin tomorrow, so you have today and tomorrow to decide on your roles, and have the acting finished in two days time. So, you will either have time to practise or to perfect your stage."
Izuku sighed.. he had no idea what way to involve the villain theme to pick. He could do a film involving dressing as some of the league of villains and being pathetically evil. Or he could make new villains and show how heroes could have turned to villainy easily. But nothing seemed right. They all seemed too generic, too unimportant for pros to expect or hear of. He pushed his thoughts aside and grabbed the pack with his name on it from Tsuyu, smiling in thanks.
His gaze dropped to the pack and he looked at the page with the names of his group members.
Uraraka, Tsuyu, Kirishima, Denki, Aoyama, Ojiro and... Mirio?? Well, all in all it seemed like a great pair-up. He got along with them all and they had brilliant people that were well suited to the needed jobs.
