The date (where Izuku has top energy)

If anyone asked, Todoroki wasn't nervous in the slightest. He was simply… overthinking. Not nervous about his first date at all. Why would he be?

Fitted jeans hugged his hips as he descended the stairs, his dark shirt framing his body in a way Mina had said looked 'sexy'.

He had thought that he probably shouldn't trust Mina, but when he watched Izuku's jaw drop when he saw him, it was worth it.

And looking at Izuku's simple jeans, t-shirt and Eraserhead hoodie- Todoroki had seen Aizawa-sensei's face when the boy walked in. It was priceless- Todoroki may have suddenly taken a new appreciation for clothing.

It had nothing to do with the way Izuku's muscles and defined abs were outlined by the t-shirt, not to mention the jeans curving and showing off his-

Yep, nope, not going there.

Date time. Head in the game. Stop being a thirsty hoe Todoroki.

"You ready to go?" Izuku either didn't notice or ignored the way his voice cracked incrementally.

"Yep." His smile was as bright as sunshine itself as they stepped outside, the day before them promising and inviting them further out of UA grounds.

As they walked, Izuku rambled, leaving silences for Todoroki to fill in with words of his own. They talked about both of their mothers steering away from the father side of the conversations, not because they didn't trust each other but because they didn't want something to ruin their first date.

It was easy to fall back into the natural flow of their catering, their existence falling into place around each other, slotting in like pieces of a puzzle.

By the time they reached the cinema Todoroki had decided to bring Izuku to, they were laughing and giggling at the fact that trees breathe in uno reverse- which Izuku may have had to explain to Todoroki.

Picking the movie became harder, but eventually they both settled on a horror. Izuku swore that he would be brave and not cry at all, but that was such a lie.

As soon as the slightly daunting music began to play, he was clutching Todoroki's arm with a grasp so tight he wondered if the boy was using his quirk. He nearly shrieked at the first jump scare, instead choosing to bury his face into Todoroki's shirt.

Not that Todoroki minded in the slightest. Here, he had the opportunity to comb through Izuku's fluffy green curls, the shadows of the room making them appear darker. Their texture was light and soft, yet what seemed to be the most rewarding part in Todoroki's opinion was how Izuku nuzzled further into the touch.

"You ok?" he whispered into the other's ear quietly, not willing to disturb the other viewer's time. He had to stifle a pleased noise begging to escape his mouth when he felt the shiver that racked Izuku's body, the warm brush of his breath in his ear obviously sensitive.

Todoroki would have to note that for later (as if he hadn't already).

"Yes," came the reply, Izuku finally turning back to watch the movie. Todoroki kept stroking his hand through Izuku's hair.

The end of the movie came quicker than imagined, possibly because Todoroki had barely been focused on anything but Izuku beside him, the fresh flower smell of Izuku's hair, and the way he would squeeze Todoroki's hand so hard that Todoroki would be reminded that Midoriya fricking Izuku was here beside him, on a motherfucking DATE.

Walking back to the dorms, Todoroki felt at peace, barely able to refrain from grinning broadly. He settled for holding Izuku's hand, their intertwined fingers swinging as they walked.
