Izuku was… happy.
It was strange to feel properly happy after all this time. But he was.
Of course, there were still bad days. Days where Izuku had to drag himself out of bed, or when he couldn't leave his bedroom. Times when he wouldn't speak for days on end only to burst into a rambling spam just after that. Weeks at a time when he refused to show his arms, his scars, or any part of his skin. Or other times he hid in his room, the sight of Masi (ex-'villain' Mischief) tormenting his mind. Mischief had finally been transferred into the second hero class, usually away from Izuku. Although, even though it dragged up memories, Izuku wasn't angry at Masi. He was rather grateful and actually loved the conversations he did get to have with her. It was just his mind reminding him of everything that had gone wrong.
Throughout it all, he was glad for the support he had. Aizawa had continued with his therapy sessions at least once a week. It was something Izuku was immensely grateful for. The fact that he always made sure to tell them he was open to talking to any of them, at any time made everyone in the class a lot more comfortable with speaking to him.
Along with Aizawa's support, Izuku knew he could count on his friends. Nearly everyday, Bakugou cooked all of them breakfast. He didn't question if Izuku wasn't hungry, but he made sure to hand the green-haired boy a smoothie filled with nutrients and protein, helping his growth. Izuku no longer felt like just a rival to Bakugou. He was really trying. So Izuku made sure to do the same, often curling up beside the explosive boy after a rough training. Having someone from his past, who had been constantly around Izuku- wanted or not- and having them near him again brought a sense of security, especially as he was calmer. Bakugou also decided to take anger management courses full time and soon learned to control his anger or let it out in a productive, healthy way.
They had both grown. And Izuku wouldn't have it any other way.
Iida, Uraraka and Tsuyu constantly stayed by him. They waited for his mute phases to pass, always ensuring he didn't feel excluded from the conversation. They let him lean on them and he did the same in return. The bonds between them all soon strengthened, growing with love and adoration between them all.
And Todoroki…
Well, Todoroki was a completely different story.
Their connection continued to flourish, blossoming into something new and exciting. Eventually, it lost its original spark… but that spark was replaced by the beginnings of love, over weeks and months of being together. Their kisses spoke of the soft nature of their relationship.
Both of them had other responsibilities, so time wasn't always spent with each other. It didn't need to be. They trusted and respected each other. It was only natural.
"Shouto!" Izuku shouted, grinning as his boyfriend immediately turned, a soft smile only reserved for Izuku creeping onto his face. Long arms opened, catching Izuku as he jumped, the force spinning them both around.
Izuku laughed loudly, cut off when lips touched his own. He deepened the kiss, running his fingers through Todoroki's hair, pulling lightly, dragging a small groan from the other that left Izuku feeling feverish.
Breaking the kiss, they stared into each others' eyes, foreheads resting against the other's.
A cough from another in the room brought their attention back to the present moment, a fiery blush spreading across Izuku's cheeks. Mina's raised eyebrows greeted them, amusement present in her dark irises, a hand stifling the laughter that threatened to burst out.
"I-It's ok guys, don't stop on my account," she wheezed out, unable to contain the giggles.
Todoroki blushed even more, trying to let Izuku down from where he was perched in the red and white-haired boy's arms. Izuku tightened his legs around his waist, refusing to be put down. He hadn't seen the other in just over a week because All Might had taken him on a camping trip. He was damn well going to kiss his boyfriend.
