Things finally start picking their pace. I'm sleepy.
--QUICKLY, THE CLASS realized that their class was basically the same as an ordinary high school in that they had pretty much the same curriculum. The only difference was that they had an additional hero class on top of it.
(L/n) and Midoriya talked while they walked to their next class in between classes.
I was on a waiting list. It wasn't as long as I expected, but there were a lot of things I didn't expect. I was on a waiting list. It wasn't as long as I expected, but there were a lot of things I didn't expect. I was on a waiting list.
"So, you were on a waiting list then?" he asked as he stood by her.
She unconsciously slowed her pace slightly-just slightly-to fall back a bit. "Yes, that's right. It wasn't as long as I expected, but there were a lot of things I didn't expect."
Midoriya let out a small laugh as he rubbed his neck. "Yeah, I wasn't sure I'd ever see you again. Kacchan probably wasn't either."
Her face fell, but she put a nonchalant expression again. "Neither was I. Bakudan was a strong boy when we were children, but I didn't think he had what it takes to be, well, a hero."
Right away, an ash blond couldn't help but begin screaming in her face.
"HUH?! WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!" he screeched, fuming. "I HAVE MORE THAN WHAT IT TAKES OUT OF ALL THESE BASTARDS, ESPECIALLY QUIRKLESS FUCKIN' DEKU OVER HERE!"
"Language!" called someone else with glasses.
(L/n) frowned, clearly startled. So, he was listening in after all. Despite wanting to mention that and see what kind of reaction he'd have, she held her tongue back on instinct, just like when they were kids.
"K-K-Kacchan!" Midoriya stammered, putting his hands up in an immediate surrender. "We weren't saying anything bad about you, r-really!"
Two other students walked up to the pair, seeming to have spotted Midoriya with Bakugou's outburst.
Bakugou didn't reply directly, instead making his usual angry scowl and having his hands balled up, like he was ready to throw a punch.
He glared down (L/n), who was very aware of this. But with Bakugou, she was never prepared for what to say. She could plan ahead for everything else, but he was so unpredictable it overwhelmed her slightly. Briefly, she wondered if she should act as frightened as Midoriya to make him. . . What was the phrase?
Ah yes. Make him hop off her dick, as the kids say.
"Midoriya! There you are! I had a few questions I was hoping you could answer about our next class period," said the boy with glasses. That was the first thing (L/n) saw. Looked like they were buddies.
"Deku!" grinned a brunette girl with rosy cheeks that seemed natural. She turned to (L/n) with a smile. "Oh, hi! You must be the new student, (L/n) right?"
Bakugou growled. "DON'T IGNORE MEEE-"
"Yes, that would be me."
Bakugou screeched between his teeth.
"Hey, Bakugou, you'll be late to class!" called a redhead to him as he dashed through the hallway excitedly.
"No running in the halls!" yelled the glasses-wearing boy.
"Tch!" the blond hissed.
Like the brunette, glasses boy turned to her. "(L/n), huh? Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, fellow hero-in-training! My name is Iida Tenya."
