Danny’s PoV
“Thank you” She whispers into my chest, “For everything”
I look down at her, she’s so lovely. I hug her tighter and smile down at her.
“You’re more than welcome little one.” I say ruffling her hair teasingly.
She lifts her head and looks up at me with her big golden, Labrador like eyes. “I am NOT little!” She says pouting really cutely. It’s hard to take her seriously when she does that!
“Ok my little midget gem whatever you say.” I say in a jokey voice.
“Humph! I’ll stop hugging you!” She says in a voice ringing with seriousness.
For some reason unknown to me, I start to panic. I pull her in closer and smell her hair, if you were wondering she smells like fresh green apple. You weren’t? Oh well.
“Emm..Danny, I can’t breathe.” She says in a little croaky voice.
“Oh shit!” I swear loudly and let her go a bit. “Sorry, love. You’re not little, your perfect.”
She blushes slightly when I say that and looks down at the floor. I wonder how red she can go? I must remember to test that some time...
Her head is still down so I seize the chance. Gently, I lift her chin and look into those deep swirly eyes. The urge to kiss her is overwhelming and I can tell she is feeling the same thing. Should I?
My eyes travel down her childish face until they meet those small, plump red lips. She bites her lip nervously, obviously waiting for me to make the first move. That small action drives me crazy and I can’t resist. The answer is yes, yes I should.
I lean in closer to her and feel her warm breath caress my face. Slowly her eyes flutter close in anticipation. I lean in towards her and-
There is a loud sharp knock at the door. I curse loudly as Rori’s eyes flutter open and she smiles sheepishly. I stroke her cheek before going to open it.
Amy is standing at the door glaring up at me, she walks towards me and slaps me hard around the face.
“You fucking idiot!” She screams, “How fucking dare you!” I look at her in shock cupping the side of my face. How could she know I was going to kiss Rori? I mean she wasn’t in the room? And how does kissing her make me an idiot?
“Do you know what the press will do when they catch a whiff of this? They will have you hung, drawn and quartered that’s what! You’re whole fucking career will be over! Everything we’ve worked for thrown down the fucking drain!” She screams at me again, I look at her with confused.
“Amy, what the hell are you on about?” I say looking at her like she has grown and extra head.
She throws her arms in the air as if to say ‘Why God, why?”
“What am I on about Danny? What kinda joke is this? You know exactly what I’m on about you stupid Irish turd!” She shrieks at me. Once again I give her the look from before.
“Amy I honestly don’t know what you’re on about-..”
“DANIEL! Stop playing with me!” She screams at the top of her voice. “I’m on about that ridiculous stunt you played on the stage! What the fuck where you thinking!”
Oh yeah, that. I had completely forgotten all about it. Spending that time with Rori had complete cleared my head of the incident. My anger from before Rori entered the room bubbled back up again back me want to explode. The only reason I didn’t was because she was standing right behind me. I don’t understand it but she has a calming power over me. When I’m near here I’m automatically calm and collected.
