Snake's tender kiss on my forehead has me melting into him, my body his. How were both kisses both equally hot? I stare at him in shock as he gives me a cheeky wink. "Come on, Dozer's missed you." He teases with a squeeze to my side, his thumb smooths over my muffin top endearingly. I've never been more self-aware of my body, and never has it felt so good. He has a way of tender affection that makes my heart skip at the appreciation of my body.

"Maybe I'm still in the mood to lose my mind." I lift my head defiantly as I try to fight the flutter in my belly.

"And that'll do what exactly?" He asks amused, eyes twinkle with mischief as a smirk appears.

"Oh shut up- I happen to be in the center of this yet to be murder mystery." I scoff and jerk my hand through my hair, the small knots snag painfully at the base of my scalp. I need to stop riding with the window down and my hair loose.

"Yet to be murder mystery?" The amused tone in his voice paired with his laughing features make me roll my eyes, and want to stomp my foot like a petulant child about to throw a tantrum.

"Well my car for one will likely be totaled- so that could count for murder-"

"And the mystery?" His brow arches with a smug grin. "Honey, I think you need to take a double shot of something strong." Snake let's out a soft chuckle as he shakes his head slowly. Pressing his hand to my lower back he guides me towards the door where the dancing claws of Dozer can be heard.

"I don't drink." I sniff.

"Well you outta Red." He advises as he unlocks the door to be met with an ever happy and joyful Dozer. Says the man who isn't facing threats.

"This is serious Snake." Dozer jumps on me and throws me back into Snake, his warm hands latch around my waist in a secure hold, chest vibrating as he stands me straight.

"So is petting Dozer, now love him." He instructs before he walks past, locking the door. The animal lover in me can't resist the pup's adorable features as I drop onto the floor to enjoy the rough kisses.

"I can't just shut off my brain." Snake looks at me as he leans against the counter, glass of water in hand.

"Red, Honey, we don't know the whole picture just yet. The club has just started checking into his past and other businesses. You don't need to freak out- I'm going to take care of it. Have you called the police about his harassment?" I should.

My flush gives me away before my words as I shrug my shoulders, mindlessly running my hands through Dozer's soft coat. "No, I didn't want to make more problems- I just want to put that chapter of my life to bed." I pause in thought. "Shouldn't we call now? I mean my car is in shambles, they could collect..." I stop talking, watching as he shakes his head with a thoughtful frown.

"We could. But Martin has the resources to make things worse- his tactics are already bad, no need to add fuel to the fire." Snake bites into a red apple on his counter, taking his time to chew. Nice he can be so relaxed. "Right now he thinks you're afraid of him, we can use that to our advantage."

I stare at him lost to his logic. "And wouldn't the police be able to stop the threats?" I ask stupidly only to receive a droll look from him.

"Honey, he destroyed your car-"

"Martin doesn't have-"

"Fine, he sent some other asshole to do the dirty work. Either way he's will to damage your property." He points out.

"And how does that equate to murder?" I point out smugly, his eyes darken whilst he releases a heavy sigh.

"You're too innocent for this world." Snake shakes his head before he is inspected by a bored Dozer. "Honey, if they are willing to damage property in broad daylight, they are experienced enough to do a lot more."
