Glancing at her briefly I turn my attention back to the road. Signaling as I change ways, very careful with Angel in the car. I will not be the reason you die. "And why are you apologizing?"

"Press the speed dial, number one. Hurry. Angel throws her phone over to me, not answering my question. I fumble as I try to grab it, not swerve lanes and do as told. Oh no. I press number one, watching out of the corner of my eye as she leans forward, holding her belly to her.

"What are you apologizing for, Angel?" I pinch the phone between my shoulder and ear as I play a balancing act, tightening my hands on the wheel. He's going to kill me.

"What's up Baby G? I'm almost done here, do I need to pick something up?" What am I supposed to say?

"Hey- not Angel. It's Sarah, we are on-"

"Tell him to hurry!" Angel shouts making my eyes widen. "I'm not going to wait long. This child is like his father and too damn impatient!" She screams with a growl of her own. Please tell me he heard that. I don't relish the idea of repeating her words to him. Freaking out as her words register, Axel's silent before he growls. Great, he's going to shoot the messenger.

"I'm guessing you heard-"

"Speaker, now." Ok, loud and clear. I nearly drop the phone as I stab blindly at the speaker button, slowing down to not crash. Oh my... this is the real deal.

"Ok, you're-" I'm cut off again and decide to keep my mouth shut. Let's not piss off the married couple, not trying to die just yet.

"Baby G, I thought we talked about this. You're not allowed to pull this shit on me." HIs tense voice comes over the line thickly even as Angel glares at the device, eyes watering, cheeks heated. Discomfort or rage? I feel like I don't belong in the midst of this conversation. I'm not meant to hear this.

"Maybe you should've passed the memo to our child. They have too much of you in them to take an order." Angel grunts, hand bringing her belly to her body as if protecting herself. A tense chuckle falls from Axel.

"Baby G, you aren't a saint either. You're just as bad at ignoring the ones you don't want to do." She shakes her head with a sly smile, before her eyes pinch shut. I don't know what to do. I'm stuck between wanting to speed and driving like an elderly after dark.

"Sarah, I appreciate you taking it slow, but I'd really appreciate it if you sped up. I'd like to not have my child in a car." We're past that stage- Oh my. Automatically I press into the gas speeding up more.

"Sarah, I swear to God if you do that- you won't like what happens." His threat has me easing up. No killing me. I swear.

"Axel, threaten her again and I will kick your ass." Snake shouts at him. Listen to the pregnant woman about to give birth or the man that'll kill me. I hate being in the middle of this.

"Ignore them, take the next turn. It's a short cut to the employee lots. You can climb a curb to make it to the ER." She groans, gasping for breath.

"I don't-" I try to argue Angel

"Sarah, you better not jump a damn curb. Take the correct way there. Don't risk my fa-"

"Axel!" Snake shouts at him, just as threatening as Axel at this point. I'm getting a headache.

"Axel, shut the hell up! She is taking me to the hospital. You better hurry your ass up and meet me there. Our child will not be born without their father in the room." She growls at him before her arm flings out hitting me in the chest. Good grief, she hits hard. "Sarah, turn now." I take the turn and pray that it won't lead to my death. From friends anyway.
