"What do you want, Tiger?" I stare at the selections before shrugging.
"I don't care, you pick. I'm gonna get us a table." I mutter yawning as I walk away letting Snake and Digger grab food. I just want to plant my butt in a semi comfortable chair.
"Let's sit by the window. It's better to stare out of than at walls." Digger calls after me, making me redirect myself towards the edges of the room from the center. Metal chairs really? Do you all hate any semblance of comfort? I find a seat by a window with the blinds open, glancing over yet another parking lot. Not sure if this view would constitute as better than the wall. I lean against the wall with a heavy sigh, my head hits the cool window and my eyes start to drift close.
"Do you want water or tea Tiger?" I stare at him for a moment. I don't even comprehend the question.
"Can I get sweet tea?" It's not my white tea, but maybe the sugar will wake me up. I can't wait to wake up tomorrow and make myself a large cup of tea. Is it even worth going to bed at this rate? I already doubt I'm going to be useful tomorrow, even by lunch. I feel like the walking dead. Resting my elbows on the table I hold my head up, staring at the dimly lit parking lot. I want to go home and crawl into Snake's bed and pass out. Snake's chuckle makes my eyes pop open as I jerk upright.
"Keep your eyes open a little longer Tiger, you need food before you pass out. Then you can sleep on the ride home." He sets a tray down and it scrapes the table as he pushes towards me. A bottle of sweet tea, silverware, a boxed sandwich and a bag of veggie straws. He knows me so well. Snake sits next to me, Digger opposite of him.
"Thank you Snake." I lean into him, squeezing his leg in thanks before I crack into the boxed sandwich and bag of veggie straws. Lazily snacking on my straws before I dig into the fairly unappetizing dry turkey sandwich. I just want to sleep. Yet, I know if I don't eat now I'll be up at an ungodly hour and that'll just peeve me off more. There is nothing worse than waking up hungry.
"I give it a few weeks before Axel is ready to pull his hair out." Digger comments with a cheeky smile, biting into his own sandwich. Snake laughs as he picks up his drink while taking a sip.
"Give it a few weeks before Angel is ready to hit him upside the head." Digger chuckles nodding before he finishes his bite of food. I think they'll be great parents. It'll be interesting to see how things play out, raising a baby in a clubhouse. And a bar. One thing I do know is Eric will be one spoiled child. Between Axel and Angel, and the MC, he'll be smothered in no time. Makes up for a lack of blood grandparents.
"He's going to be spoiled rotten in no time." I chuckle with a tired and delirious grin as I lean back. Grazing on my dinner- or breakfast. I don't even know what meal this is.
"Eric is gonna be more spoiled than Miranda was when she was born." Digger laughs, the thought puts a smile on my face. It'll be interesting to see them together.
"Miranda will either fall in love with Eric or will mope around for a week or two." Snake offers with a soft chuckle. "She's so used to being the youngest around, I'm not sure she'll know what to do with herself." I wonder if baby Eric is gonna give people the baby bug.
"I don't know, she's still over the moon with Pixie." I point out to the pair. She's been taking such good care of Pixie. It melts my heart everytime I see her with her puppy. With her hands on her hips trying to teach Pixie commands. It's the cutest thing ever.
"That's true; she's forever going on about her precious puppy and how nice Miss Sarah has been teaching her all she knows." Digger teases, shaking his head with a slight smirk. Miranda still comes to the clinic almost every day. She's the best kennel buddy. Miranda is always playing with the pups and kittens for me.
