saturday morning, blake messaged reece.

it was already 9:45, giving reece 1 hour and 45 mins to get ready.
reece facetimed brad straight away.
he wasn't good at picking out outfits.

"braddd helppppp"

"what reece are you okay? you're not dying are you?"

"...no"

"gosh what's this important? i'm on the fucking loo"

"sorry.. blake asked me on a date"
reece giggled, setting his phone down on his desk.

"oh i know, i helped plan it with george"
brad smiled, flushing the toilet and supposedly washing his hands.

"yes well i gotta pick an outfit and he said to look cute and i don't know what's cute and i'm panicking because i wanna look cute"

"reece love calm down, you look cute in most things"
brad chuckled, jumping on his bed.

"that doesn't help brad"

"hmm.. blue jeans.."
brad started to think.
reece got his blue jeans out the closet quickly.
"ooh and your black and white stripy t-shirt!"

"thank you brad you're a lifesaverrrr"
reece smiled, getting the shirt and turning the camera off as he got changed.

"soooo.. has blake told you where you're going yet?"
brad asked from the blank screen.

"nope, tell me"

"reece i'm not spoiling the surprise"

"braddddd pleaseeeeeeee"
he whined, finishing getting dressed.

"no reece, now show me the outfit"

"fine"
reece turned the camera back on, showing brad his full outfit.

"okay yes cute.. now for shoes i'd go for low top docs"

"i gotta do my hair.. byebradiloveyou"
he said quickly and hung up, brad laughing on the dead line.

reece walked to the bathroom and spent a long time on doing his hair.
a looooonnnnnngggggg time.
he used a bit of gel to make it stay in place, then set it with even more hairspray.
it was 11:20 when he was fully ready.
he went down to the kitchen, smiling at his parents who were in the middle of a conversation.

"you look cute reecey!"
lexi giggled as he sat at the table with a glass of water.

"thank you lex.. i'm going out"
reece smiled, kissing his little sister's head gently.

"are you seeing blakes?"
she whispered to him.

"yep but he's just a 'friend' okay?"
he whispered back, laughing softly.

a few moments later, there was a knock on the door.
reece got up and strolled over, seeing blake as soon as he opened the door.
lexi ran after him, looking up at blake.

"ello i'm lexi!"
she giggled, hugging blake's leg gently.

"hi lexi, i'm blake.. reece has told me lots about you"
blake bent down and hugged her.
reece's heart melted.

"mum i'm going out with blake, i'll be back later"
reece spoke loudly.
"i'll see you in a bit lex, i love you"

lexi hugged reece and waved at blake.
"byeeeeee"

the two boys made their way to blake's car, where they both got inside.

"sooo.. what's the plan?"
reece asked whilst looking at blake.

"it's a surprise.. you look cute bubs"
blake laughed as reece's face turned red.

"you look hot blake"
reece smiled as blake started driving.

"yeah yeah"
blake laughed, rolling his eyes slightly.

"where are we goinggg?"
reece whined.

"we're going somewhere specialllll"
blake grinned and continued to drive.
reece pouted and looked out the window as they drove through the town centre.
