"where did the bruises come from reece?"
she asked again, looking at the nervous boy sat in front of her.

"a- a ditch.."
reece stuttered quietly, his voice barely audible.

"reece please don't lie to me.. i'm here to help you"
miss elliot told him, a small smile on her face, trying to encourage him to speak.

"s nothing miss.. can i go now?"
he asked, playing with his fingers.

"no reece. you've got to tell me"
she said, with a little more demand to her tone.

"c-can't.."
reece began to tear up, staring down at the purple carpeted floor beneath him.

"please don't cry reece.. is there anyone else who can tell us? anyone at all?"

"b-blakey"
he whispered.

"blake.. richardson?"
she asked softly.
reece nodded in response, wiping his tears away.
it was a little while before blake arrived in the room.
miss elliot had gotten reece a cup of tea with a digestive biscuit whilst he was waiting.
reece loved tea.

"what's wrong miss? reece.. you've been crying bubs"
blake said quickly as he rushed into the room, kneeling down next to reece's chair.
he looked the blonde boy over quickly, checking for any new cuts or bruises.
but reece was fine.

"blake, have a seat please"
miss elliot smiled at him, gesturing to the chair next to reece.
blake sat down in it, holding reece's hand gently.

"what's going on?"
blake asked, looking at reece.

"reece said you know how he got the bruises"
she said to him.

"yeah he fell in a ditch.. right reece?"
blake said, still looking at a now crying reece, who was shaking his head slowly.

"the actual reason please blake"
she said, a light sigh coming out after the sentence.

"reece can i say..?"
blake asked him, stroking his hand with his thumb.
reece nodded and squeezed his hand tighter.
"this might take a while to explain so please bear with me"

"we've got all day blake, don't worry"
she smiled at him.
"i'm gonna have to record the audio if that's okay..?"

the two boys nodded, and blake started to speak.

"right so it started when i found reece's ex on top of him when he was passed out at a party. he had obviously been drugged or given a large amount of alcohol. so i may have knocked him out and put him in the neighbour's rubbish pile. this made him angry and he wanted revenge, so he decided that the best thing to do was kidnap me and reece. it wasn't very fun. then he uhm.. t-took reece and h-hurt him in front of m-me.."
blake's voice trailed off as he started to cry.

"you boys stay here."
miss elliot said as she walked out of the room.

reece looked at blake and smiled weakly as a thank you to him.
blake nodded and pulled reece over, onto his lap.
he cuddled the blonde boy after wiping his own tears away.
the whole scene was a bit of a teary mess.
the boys were just happy that they had each other.

miss elliot walked in around ten minutes later, but this time with the school police officer.

"what was the name of the boy who did this..?"
the officer asked, looking at reece and blake.

"t-theodore hemmings.."
reece mumbles.

"luke's brother?"
blake asked him, not knowing this information.
reece nodded, sighing quietly.

"but luke is so nice.."
blake said quietly.
reece shrugged.

"do either of your parents know what happened?"
the officer asked them.

they both shook their heads.

"we have to tell them, it's protocol"
he told them, smiling sadly.

"sugarcoat it please.. my mum's gonna flip.. the same with reece's i would guess"
blake asked softly whilst playing with reece's hair.

it's safe to say that neither parents were very happy, but they supported the boys and made sure they were alright.
theo got locked up, we don't need to worry about him anymore.
for now at least..
