reece and blake woke up tangled up in bed together.
they had fallen asleep at around 2am.
and no, nothing unholy happened.
reece was in his headspace for most of the evening, which didn't bother any of the others.
when blake woke up, he saw the blonde boy still fast asleep.
he smiled and kissed his cheek gently, trying not to wake him.
reece didn't wake up for another half an hour.
he stretched out, accidentally slapping blake.

"reeceeee"
blake whined, pushing reece's hand away from his face quickly.

"sorry blakeeeee"
he giggled, yawning slightly.
blake shook his head and kissed reece gently.

george and megan walked in.

"EW THEY'RE HAVING SEX"
megan screeched, and reece's breathing sped up.
blake noticed straight away and tried to calm reece down.

"george go in my bag and get his meds please"
blake said in a calm voice, pulling reece onto his lap.
tears streamed down the blonde's face, and he was clinging onto blake tightly.
george passed blake the box of tablets and a glass of water quickly, and blake helped reece take them.

"it's okay little one.. see it's all okay.. can you talk to me angel?"
blake whispered to him, stroking his hair gently.

"d-dino"
reece muttered, patting around the bed.
blake nodded, passing him his dinosaur toy.
he continued to hold him close until his breathing was back to normal, and his tears had gone.

"i'm sorry reece.. i didn't know.."
megan whispered, looking at him.

"s okay meg, i love you still"
reece hiccuped and held onto blake.
george hugged megan and sat down on the bed with her.

"group cuddles?"
reece giggled, pulling the other two into the cuddle.
blake smiled and held reece closer, not wanting the others to touch him.
reece was his.

it wasn't until later that they all bothered to get out of bed.
they went to a small café down the road and grabbed brunch together.
blake was acting very strangely, always holding reece close in a protective manner.
it confused megan and george, but reece didn't mind it, he rather enjoyed it.

reece enjoyed blake's protection because no one else had ever given him something like that.
his childhood was easy and simple until lexi came.
now reece loves lexi with his whole heart, but when she was born reece was kind of pushed aside.
it's one of the reasons reece sometimes slips into a younger mindset, because he wasn't able to when he was growing up.
he's always tried to do his best, to be noticed over lexi, but his parents always focused on her.
reece had told blake this the previous night, and blake almost cried because he didn't want reece to go through that.

they had some peng ting avocado on toast then blake and reece went to blake's house.
blake was meant to be looking after his little cousin, but didn't want to leave reece alone, so he dragged him along.
his name was elio, and he had just turned five.
reece was overwhelmed by the amount of energy he had in his tiny body.

they all ended up watching a film together.
reece had elio in his arms, and blake was looking at him with a smile on his face.
blake, though he won't admit it yet, is deeply in love with reece jamie bibby.
george can tell, and so can brad.
the sight of the two boys cuddling melted blake's heart, it was so adorable.
blake got up after a little while and got them all a small snack of some chocolate covered strawberries.
reece and elio got on really well, probably because they both loved colouring so much.
like honestly, they sat and coloured together for ages.
reece drew a picture of blake and him, handing it to blake when he finished.

"s for you blakeeee"
he grinned, looking very proud of himself.

"wow it's so pretty! thank you bubba"
blake smiled and took it, putting it safely on the kitchen counter.
reece giggled and kept drawing pictures, then he handed them to blake.
it was the cutest sight ever.
reece had a sippy cup full of strawberry milk, and elio's was full of chocolate milk.
blake had to act like both of their parents sometimes, but he didn't really mind it.
he liked looking after them.
