the party was traumatic.
reece didn't remember any of it.
he woke up in brad's bed, with a pale faced blake sitting next to him.
blake hadn't slept all night, he was too worried about reece.

"morning blakey.. everything okay?"

"yeah.."

"you look really tired blake.. sleep please"

"i couldn't sleep last night.. i was too worried reecey"

"why were you worried? everything was fine last night and no one got hurt"

"reece.. you got drugged and i punched the guy in the face"
blake sighed gently.

"w-what?"
reece stuttered, looking at the taller boy with shock.

"i walked in to see you passed out and a random guy half naked on top of you.."
blake told him quietly.

"what did he look like?"

"tall, blonde, resting bitch face?"

"theodore."
reece hissed.

"sorry who?"
blake asked, a confused look on his face.

"my ex before i moved here.."
reece sighed, looking down.

"bad story huh?"
blake asked softly.

"yeah.. not a story i wanna tell.. only brad knows.."
reece looks at him with guilt in his eyes.

"it's okay reece, you don't have to tell me"

"blake.. you should probably go.."
reece whispered.

"what? why? did i offend you?"

"no.. you just gotta go"
reece told him, his voice uncertain.

"alright.. stay safe bubba"
blake sighed, got out of bed and left the room.

reece knew if he stayed with blake theo would manage to find them and one of the couple would get badly hurt.
so he pushed blake away.
he didn't reply to any of blake's messages over the next two days.
blake was getting more and more worried by the minute.
he wanted his reece back, he wanted to help.

blake knew something was up.
reece didn't usually go more than an hour without speaking to him.
reece never left him on read.
reece cared about him.. right?

blake was slowly giving up.
he didn't think reece wanted him anymore.
it hurt him more than he let people see.
his messages became shorter and less often than at the start.
he didn't leave the house, didn't eat, didn't sleep.
george noticed his change in behaviour, but blake ignored him when he spoke up about it.

reece missed blake.
he missed their little inside jokes.
blake's giggle.
his smile.
him.
but he knew he couldn't go back.
it would end in fire and blood and anguish.
theo would do something.
if he had the abilities to drug reece, what else would he be able to do?
