I looked under her pillow, because that's where she puts her notes when she leaves in the morning... But there was no note. I heard a noise coming from down the hall. I opened our bedroom door and heard loud and clear, the sound of a guitar. I walked really slowly. 1 step at a time. I heard a song playing, and someone singing. I walked to the door way to see her hair falling down her shoulders and back. She put on one of my tee shirts, and a pair of my sweat pants. I listened to her sing.

"They tell you that you're lucky, but you're so confused. Because you don't feel pretty, you just feel used..."

The Lucky One, by Taylor Swift.. Why that song? I kept listening.

"And all the young things line up to take your place... Another name goes up in lights, you wonder if you'll make it out alive." she skipped some lines.

"It took some time, but I understand it now... Cause now his name is up in lights, and I think you've got it right. Let me tell you now you're the lucky one, yea they'll tell you now you're the lucky one, but let me tell you now you're the lucky one, oh oh." she took a breath, set the guitar down and ran her fingers through her hands. I walked into the room and sat down next to her. She laid her head in my lap and cried. I ran my fingers through her hair and a tear ran down my cheek. I started singing to her.

"When you try not to look at me. Scared that I'll see you hurting. But you're not hiding anything. And frankly it's gotten me worried... You're not alone, I'll listen till your tears give out. You're safe and sound, I swear that I won't let you down. What's hurting you, I, I feel it too. I mean it when I say when you cry, I cry with you." she sniffled a little.

"You need love tough enough to count on, so here I am." I sang to her.

"Bell, tell me. What's wrong." I asked her.

"I miss my friends, family, town.. Everything. I never thought I would ever say this, because when I met you I wanted to get out right away. Then when we won prom king and queen, I felt a little piece ripped out of my heart. Then when I moved into your apartment in Nashville, another piece ripped out. Then when we got married, I had another piece ripped out. Now, when you win your award, which we all know you will, another piece will rip out. It's just an on going cycle, until it's all gone. Then what?" she asked me in between sniffles.

"You'll always have me, I'm never going anywhere." I told her.

"Yea, but I'm just afraid that another magazine will come out, and it will break us apart. Tonight, I ..." she choked up and cried. She hugged me.

"Tonight I thought I lost you." she said crying. I felt my heart break with hers.

"Oh my goodness Belle.. That will never happen. We're growing old together, remember?" I joked. She smiled a little, but just held me tighter.

"I just don't know how to tell you or show you how much I really do love you. Like, I feel like I'm not doing enough." she told me.

"Just coming home with you being there is enough. Just you laughing is enough. Kissing me is enough. Hugging me is enough. You don't need to change for me. Just because I'm a big celebrity, doesn't mean you need to do everything right in the book, you should make mistakes, so we can write our own book. Our own love story." I leaned down and kissed her head.

"I just don't want it to be one of those books that you look at it, dust it off, flip through the pages, realize it looks stupid, and put it back." she said still hugging me.

"You only think people will do that because we do that... Because we don't read." I joked.

"Oh yea, that's right." she said. I chuckled a little and she let go of me.

"When do you go back on the bus?" she asked me, tucking her hair behind her ear. I wiped her tears away and answered.

"After the award show. Which is 7 days away. You'll be my date, right?" I asked her, causing her to smile a little grin. I think she gets that from me.

"Of course." she grabbed me hands. We sat there, facing eachother, just playing with our hands. She was tangling and un-tangling them, somehow fascinated. I laughed a little chuckle.

"You're so cute." I told her. She yawned, dropping her hands.

"How bout we go back to bed?" I asked her, standing up. She agreed. She held out her arms, wanting a piggy back ride. I laughed and shook my head. She's like a 7 year old in a 20 year olds body. I nealed down and she hopped up. She wrapped her arms around my neck and rested her head on my back. I walked us back to our bedroom and placed her in bed. I pulled the covers over her, tucked her in, and kissed her forehead. I walked around the bed and climbed in next to her. I snuggled her in my arms and she rested her head on my chest and drifted to sleep. I later then fell asleep then too.
