Chapter 20

My sister, Molly showed up around 8, right around the time Lynette left. Molly has twin girls, Jenny and Emmy who are 6 and Max who's 3. When they're over it's always loud. The girls came running over to Hunter who was holding Car. I laughed as Jenny sat on his knee and Emmy sat next to him, leaning over his arm. Max came running after them, but saw me and ran to me. I picked Max up and sat him on my lap.

"Hi Annie Belle" he said, leaning into me. I coupled him up in my lap.

"Hi Max, did you come to see Car?" I asked him. He smiled, nodding. He slid out of my arms and ran over to join his sisters.

"Is he real?" Emmy asked. Hunter nodded, while smiling.

"How comes his eyes won't open!?" Max asked, sounding concerned.

"Because he's sleeping, duh!" Jenny told him. I laughed, and so did Hunter. The door opened up again and in came my sister and her husband, Nathan.

"Em and Jen, you left your dolls in the car!" Molly yelled. The girls got up and ran over to Molly. I stood up and walked over to Molly. I turned around to Max and reached out my hand.

"Coming, Max?" he looked up from Car and ran over, taking my hand. I looked at Hunter and smiled. He smiled back and stood up to bring Car over to everyone else. I walked up to my sister and gave her a hug. I gave Nathan one too.

"Where is he!?" Molly asked all excited, clapping her hands together. Hunter came walking in right on time. He smiled up at her. Her jaw dropped as a grin came across her face.

"Oh my goodness, he's even cuter in person." she said. Nathan was smiling too. She walked over to Hunter and took Car. She held him close, just like I do. Molly and I are only 2 years apart, but we're just alike. I walked over to Hunter and wrapped his arm around me. I smiled up at him.

"He looks just like you, Hunter." Nathan spoke up. Molly agreed, looking up at Hunter. I laughed, knowing he's heard that around 12 times. He chuckled. "He's soo cute, I just wanna take him home with me." Molly said, snuggling him closer.

"Well, he's mine.. So no." Hunter joked. We all laughed. Molly took her hand and ran through his soft blonde hair.

"Well, he does have some curl.. So he has something of you, Belle." she commented. I smiled. My hair was a huge bush of curls. "He's still got your looks, Hunter. Don't freak out." she joked. Hunter laughed this time. I laughed too. Molly handed Nathan Car and walked over to Emmy, Jenny and Max.

"You guys hungry? I brought snacks." She said as her bracelets chimed. Emmy and Max said yes as Jenny just followed them into the bathroom to wash their hands.

"Never have 3 kids... It's a crazy household." Nathan said. I laughed. Hunter chuckled too. "Seriously, how do you keep him so quiet? When all 3 of them were new born they never stopped talking. They still don't!" he joked again. I laughed. Car moved a little and his eyes slowly opened. He moved his arm and looked over at Hunter. Hunter smiled at him, and waved. He then looked at me, and I smiled too.

"Hi, I'm Uncle Nate." Nathan said to Car. Car looked up to Nate and just starred. Nate laughed than. The kids came back and were munching on bags of crackers. Molly came back too, handing them each a cup of water, a sippy cup for Max.

"Well when they're done, we'll leave. We just wanted to see the cutie." She said, walking up to him, kissing his cheek. "His eyes are huge." she smiled. I looked up Hunter. Hunter smiled down at me.

"I think he's gonna be a Daddy's boy.. Sorry Belle." Nate said. I laughed.

"I know, I can already tell. It's ok, if I were a baby, Hunter would be my favorite too." I smiled. Nate handed Car back to Molly. Molly said her good byes to Car, and gave him another kiss.

"Guys, come say bye! Be very gentle." Molly said, kneeling down. The kids all gave him a kiss. Emmy ran over to me and hugged me and then Hunter. Next came Jenny and then Max. I took Car back and hugged Molly.

"I'll call you tomorrow!" I said. Nathan came over to me and hugged me while Molly said bye to Hunter. Nathan said bye to Hunter and then raced the kids back to the car. Molly turned back around and waved, closing the door behind her. I walked up to the door and locked it. I turned back to Hunter who had just ran his fingers threw his hair, because it was everywhere. He smiled at Car who was starring at him. He came over and took him from me like he always does.

"I'll put him to bed." Hunter said, walking up the stairs. I thanked him while walking back into the living room. A couple minutes later Hunter came walking down the stairs and re joining me in the living room. He sat down next to me, while putting his arm around my shoulders. I smiled into his eyes, waiting for a kiss. He leaned down and kissed me, just like I wanted. He must have read my mind.

"It smells like baby wipes, diapers and baby food." Hunter said as we released. I laughed, nodding too.

"It does." I said, laughing. Hunter laughed then too. I rested my head on his shoulders.

"So.. I have a question." I said. He looked down at me, smirking.

"Ok, spill it." he said. I smiled.

"When are you planning on going back out and touring and singing again?" I asked, because I don't want him to leave again.

"Not for a little bit. Maybe February next year." he said. I smiled again.

"Good, because I don't want you to leave me again. I hate it." I said. He laughed.

"Really? I thought you loved it when I left!" he asked, sarcastically. I hit him.

"I frieken hate it, I hate being so far away from you. It's like I have nothing. You take a part of me when you leave." I said. He ran his fingers through my hair, which felt awesome.

"I'm not leaving anytime soon, I promise. I'm here to stay, never leaving you." He told me. "You mean more to me than you even know. Well you think you know but you don't. I love you Belle, and that's all that matters" he added. He leaned over and kissed my head. I leaned my head up and kissed him. He kissed me back.

"I'm tired." I said. I stood up and grabbed his hand. He got up and scooped me up. I laughed, but tried to stay quiet since Car was sleeping. How did I get so lucky? I asked myself this question almost every day. I don't think I'll ever know the answer.
