Chapter 10.

Getting ready was nerve racking. I had my bags packed and everything was set for my early flight to California the next morning. My flight was at 5 am and I was defiantly dreading it. But I couldn't wait to see Hunter. I had my phone near by, waiting for him to call so then I could go to bed. A couple minutes later, while watching "Long Island Medium" my phone buzzed.

"Hey." I said, smiling even though he couldn't see me.

"Hey babe." he said back.

"How was your day?"

"Not bad, would have been better if you were there."

"So you're in Cali though, right?"

"Yup. Just got to Los Angeles. It's so pretty here."

"I bet."

"I found a picture of us on our honeymoon in my phone today and it was when you fell into the mud in Rome. I don't know why I just though of it, but I did." he told me, laughing over the phone. Our honeymoon was the best. We went from Paris to Rome to London then Dublin and ending in Berlin. It was so much fun and gorgeous.

"It's so good just to hear your laugh."

"It's good to just hear your voice."

"Well, you have a big day tomorrow, so I'll let you go. I love you."

"Alright, I love you too. Happy early anniversary."

"haha, goodnight Hunter."

"Goodnight Belle." I look at my phone to see that he hung up first. Then I him up. I wrapped myself up in my 3 blankets making myself warm, and sleeping with JoJo by my side.

My alarm woke me up at 4 am and since the airport wasn't far from my house, I laid there a little longer. At this day 1 whole year ago, 365 days... I was marring Hunter. I love him more then I did that day. At the time I didn't even think that was possible. My clothes were laid out on my dresser, calling my name. I finally got up at around 4:10 to go start coffee. When I started the coffee, I saw a box and flowers on our porch. I forgot, the mailman came to our house at like.. 4 every morning. I opened the door to see balloons and a box, plus some flowers. I smiled, know it was from Hunter. I picked up the box and flowers and held the balloons till I got inside to set them down. I put the flowers on the table, and opened the box. Inside the box was pink sparkly tissue paper (my favorite color and I love sparkles) the first thing I pulled out was my favorite movies (The Lucky One, The Vow, Ted, 21 Jump Street, and series one of Long Island Medium on DVD) I smiled, because he knows I love Long Island Medium. I ripped some more tissue paper and inside that was a new coffee mug and a new water bottle. I was happy that they were both pink. And at the very bottom I felt a little long box. I pulled off the tissue paper and opened up the box to see the most beautiful necklace. It was a locket that was a heart an when you opened it, it was a picture of of and on the other side of the locket was a quote that said "Till my last breath, I'll be loving you." and it made me cry some more. I put it back in the box and realized it was 4:30. I was gonna be late. I threw the big box on the floor and put the flowers into a vase and set it on the middle of the table. I decided that I could just get coffee there. I ran upstairs and put my clothes on. I didn't add makeup just threw some sunglasses on and some red lips. I ran back down stairs with my bright pink suite cases at the steps. I locked the door behind me and headed to my car. I stared the engine and pulled out of the drive way as fast as I could.

•Hunters P.O.V.•

"I'm sure she got it, Hunter. Just chill out." Sam told me.

"She would have texted me something by now!" I said, pacing back and forth through my dressing room in The Ellen Show.

"Maybe shes still sleeping. Just go on the show and be a nice person. Don't worry about it." he told me, looking me dead in the eye.

"It was just I feel horrible not being able to be with her, and all I wanted to to was give her a nice present. I hope it didn't get lost in the mail..." I said, wondering.

"Just stop Hunter, or I'm leaving." he told me, getting his drum sticks out of his bag. I sat at the edge of the bed. I hope she got the necklace, it meant a lot to me. A woman opened the door and said, "5 minutes." I got up and walked out the door, leaving Sam by himself. I went back stage and said a prayer, and took deep breaths.

"Now, we have a new comer in country music, who grew up in New Orleans, just like myself. He's only 23, soon to be 24 and is still the cutest. Please welcome, Hunter Hayes!" Ellen said. I walked down the steps and onto the stage, smiling and waving. They played my song "Light Me Up" and when I got to Ellen I gave her a big hug, and thanked the crowd by bowing and holding my hands. I sat down and Ellen just smiled at me.

"Hi Hunter." she said. I smiled.

"Hi Ellen, how are you?" I asked her calmly. She laughed.

"I'm great, nice to have you back on the show. Some big changes had happened since, am I right?" she smiled. I laughed and nodded.

"Yes, some wonderful things. I have an album that's been out for a year now, which is my second album.." the crowd cheered, and a picture of the album came up and some more cheers. I smiled.

"Thank you so much. And I also got married to my wonderful wife, Isabelle." I smiled. The crowd awed to the picture that came up, the one from the award show. She was missing my cheek.

"I hear it's your one year anniversary." Ellen brought up. I nodded and smiled.

"And you're not with her!" she said. I laughed and scooted back.

"Well I wanted to be here too!" I said. "But I do miss her, I sent her a big box with flowers and balloons today in the mail. But it's not the same without being with her." I said.

"Well I can change that, come on out Belle!" she said. My heart skipped as I turned around and saw her walking out smiling and waving. I got up and ran over to her. I kissed her right on TV and picked her up. She laughed while the crowd cheered and awed. I put her back down and told her to sit while I sat on the arm of the chair. She smiled up at me while I was beaming.

"Did I surprise you?" she said.

"Uh... Yea." I laughed and so did the crowd. She laughed too and looked back over at Ellen.

"Hi Isabelle." she said. Belle smiled and said hello.

"Wait, how did you get here!" I asked her.

"Well when you left I called Ellen and told her. She got me here, thank her not me!" she put her hands up and laughed.

"Thank you Ellen, best present ever."

"Well wait it get better." she said. I looked down at Belle an she was smiling up at me.

"We canceled all your gigs till Christmas so you can be with her." she said. I looked at Ellen with my mouth wide open. I looked back at Belly and she was laughing.

"No. Way." I said. Ellen nodded.
