Chapter 21

It was August 22, my birthday. Car has gotten bigger. Even the doctor said so. I can finally rest him on my chest, and I absolutely loved doing it. Hunter and I were sitting on the couch, Car was taking a nap. I was watching "21 jump street" which happened to be my favorite, because I loved Channing Tatum. Hunter was on his phone, but it didn't bother me. When my favorite part ended, Hunter looked up at the door. I looked over at the door, than back at Hunter.

"What?" I asked him. He looked back at his phone, and smiled.

"Nothing..." he said. I laughed.

"Ok, you're horrible at lying. Tell me." I said.

"It's a surprise! Just wait." he said. I turned back to the TV, crossing my arms on my chest. It was 6:30 and I was not in a mood for surprises. A couple minutes past by, until the front door flew open and in came Matt, Devo 1 and Devo 2, Sam, Chris, Ainsley, AmberLee, and Matt's girlfriend, Julia. They all yelled "Happy Birthday Belle!!!" I was shocked. Matt held balloons and Julia had all the presents. Sam came running over and hugged me. He always wanted the first hug. They all hugged me too. Matt set the balloons on the table and took the presents from Julia.

"Well, open them!" he said, handing me them. I sat down on the living room floor, while they all sat around me on the sofa and love seat. I opened the box that said "Happy birthday beauty" instantly knowing it was from AmberLee. I opened the box and their was a really pretty shirt. I was a pink sweater and in the back was a heart cute out into the back of the shirt. And of course their was sparkle. I smiled at her.

"Oh yay, her two favorite things.. Pink and sparkles." Hunter said. I laughed. So did AmberLee and Sam. I handed Hunter the box and asked him to hold all the presents. She had another box for me. I opened it and inside was a cute outfit for Car. It was a onesie that had guitars and cars on it. It was also red and black.

"Omg, this is perfect." I laughed, showing Hunter. Hunter smiled, giving AmberLee a thumbs up. I got the next box that had pink bows all over the wrapping. It was from Ainsley. I opened it up, and inside was a really cute scarf and hat, that was pink, red and white. I thanked her and she said no problem. I got the next couple presents from the rest of the band. When I finished, Matt spoke.

"Well, the reason that we all showed up wasn't just because it's your birthday, but also because we're gonna watch Car while you two go out." he said. I smiled and turned my head to Hunter. He was smiling.

"Was this the surprise you were talking about?" I asked him. He smiled, nodding.

"I'll help you pick out what to wear!" AmberLee said standing up and taking my hand. She walked me down the hall and up to my room. She walked us into my closet, and she started looking through outfit.

"You guys really don't have to do this" I said. She continued looking through the clothes.

"Oh Belle, your 23 now, live a little. Hunters the one that called me and asked, and then he told me that the band was coming too." she said. I had a question, but I wasn't sure if she could answer me.

"How comes Ainsley came along?" I finally asked. She pulled out a black jumpsuit. She picked out some pick heels, but they weren't too high. I took them, agreeing it was cute.

"Um.. I don't know. Matt just said she wanted to see Car, but when he told us we were all like.. Taken back since she hasn't talked to Hunter since he's met you." she said, sitting down next to me.

"I don't know what I did to make her not like me... But she got me a present. But I guess she had no choice." I told her. AmberLee laughed and so did I.

"It doesn't matter, you're going to have a wonderful night with Hunter, and I get to snuggle up with Car." she said smiling.

"Thank you again, AmberLee.. I can't thank you enough." I hugged her, she hugged me back.

"You're welcome, I always love helping someone who all they do is help other people." I smiled at her while she smiled at me. "Now get ready and I'll meet you downstairs." she said, standing up. She walked out of my closet an slipped out of my view. I looked down at the outfit in my lap, "Well.. Let's do this." I whispered to myself.

•Hunters P.O.V•

"Wow, we actually surprised her." Sam said while they walked away to go upstairs. I laughed.

"It wasn't easy to keep a secret from her." I said. Matt looked at me.

"What's it like to be a dad?" he asked.

"It doesn't really feel like anything. But he's really cool, and I love holding him. Its weird to think that he's mine." I said. Ainsley got up and walked into the bathroom. Everyone watched her as she closed the door behind her. I turned back to Matt. Matt shrugged.

"Well, I'm making coffee." I said, standing up and walking into the kitchen. Sam laughed.

"Every awkward moment you automatically turn to coffee." he pointed out. The band all agreed with him and I chuckled, starting the keurig up. I heard AmberLee walking down the steps. She walked into the living room.

"Look who woke up!" she said. They all got up and walked over to her. As I poured our coffee into travel mugs and set them on the counter, I heard the bathroom door re-open. I walked over to Car and saw him staring at me. The band laughed.

"He's like, 'Hey! I know you. You clean my smelly diapers.'" Matt joked. I laughed.

"Actually, That's not me who does that, that's Belle. I feed him." I smiled.

"Champ!" Sam yelled out. We all laughed. After a couple more minutes of awwing at Car, I heard footsteps on the stairs. I walked over to the steps to see her walking down. I held out my hand and she took it, walking down the last couple steps. I smiled at her, as she fixed a piece of my hair.

"I brought your jaket down." she said, handing it to me. I thanked her, taking the jacket and slipping it on. Belle turned to everyone in the living room.

"Are you sure you guys got this?" She asked. They all agreed. She ran by them where everything is and then ran over and kissed Cars head.

"Don't forget your coffee, Hunter." Ainsley called out, which reminded me. I ran back into the kitchen and got our coffee. Walked back to the door, I met Belly with her coffee. She took a sip and smiled.

"Just like I like it." she said. I took her hand in mine and said goodbye to everyone. She did the same and we walked down our steps.

"Now where are we going!" she said.

"Now can I ever keep a surprise for you! Just wait, my darling." I said, slipping into a 50's accent. She laughed, letting me open up her door and helping her in. Tonight is gonna be great.
