Belly. (Hunter Hayes Fanfic)

Chapter 6.

I carried his last bag down the steps for him and walked into the kitchen. He was on the phone with Matt walking in and out of the house taking bag after bag out to the drive way. I got a cup out of the cabinet, and poured a cup of iced tea. I leaned against the counter, looking out at the trees and birds. My back was towards the door. I took a sip and realized he's leaving. I'll be without my husband for 2 months. Sleeping with no one, making coffee for no one, laughing with no one. A single tear slipped out of my eye and rolled down my cheek. The TV was on CMT, and just started playing "Begin Again" by Taylor Swift. It made the situation even more sad.

"Ok, Jerry's coming with the bus in 5 minutes. Everyone's on and it wi-" Hunter walked into the kitchen saying, until he saw me choking up. He stopped right in front of me so I couldn't see the video. I looked down at my drink, and chuckled. Then looked up into his eyes with tears flooding mine.

"Babe, I'll be back. Im not leaving for too long. Remember ill be back for Thanksgiving? Thats in only 2 weeks. So I won't be gone for long." he told me. That's right, Thanksgiving.

"I'll still miss you like crazy." I told him, with more tears in my eyes. I turned around and walked to the sink and poured out my drink. I turned around to him again. "I'm not thirsty." I said, wiping my eyes. He came over and opened his arms for me. I walked into them, crying again. He kissed my forehead and laid his head on my head. I held on for the longest time, until we heard the door bell and JoJo scatter into the dinning room. We started laughing.

"Ok, I'll miss that." he said, laughing again. I shook my head smiling. Hunter walked over to the door and in came Matt.

"You ready to go?" he said, rubbing his hands together. "It's cold out there." he told us, shivering.

"Yea, I'm ready." Hunter said, turning back to me. I was looking down at my feet, dreading this next moment. I looked up to realize they were waiting for me. Hunter held out his hand and I walked over and grabbed it. We walked down the steps and out to the bus. Matt walked onto the steps and said,

"I'll give you some space." and walked back on. Hunter just smiled and then looked down at me. His eyes we really blue in the early morning.

"I love you so much, Hunter." I told him, wrapping my arms around is neck. He lifted me up at my waist and spun me around. He set me down and gave me a kiss on the forehead.

"I love you so much too, Belle. I'm gonna miss you to the moon and back." he said. I stood on my tip toes to kiss him. It was a long, dramatic kiss. When I released, he looked over at the bus.

"Don't say goodbye, you know I hate it." he laughed at my comment. "Just go." I said.

"Well dont say it like that, I told you... I'm not leaving for too long. I'll be back before you know it." he leaned down and kissed me again, and I grabbed his hands.

"I love you. Too much to even say." I told him, a tear running down my cheek.

"I love you too, Belle." he said, hugging me one last time. He walked up onto the steps, and each step he took, my heart broke more. When the doors closed behind him, I saw him standing next to Jerry(the driver) and a tear was down his cheek too. I tapped my heart 3 times, meaning "I love you" and he did it too. The last thing he did before I couldn't see him anymore, was make bunny ears. Thats when I broke down. The bus went down our lane, and made a right. When I couldn't see the bus anymore, I sat down on the pavement, wishing I could just kiss him one more time. I slowly walked back inside a couple minutes later, feeling like their was a big brick on my shoulders. When I opened the door, walked in, and shut it, I heard a catchy tune. I walked through the kitchen to see "Wanted" on CMT. My eyes filled with tears and I texted Hunter. "So.. I miss you already.. And Wanted is on CMT.." I sat down on the couch, and a second later he texted back. "Don't flood the house please. ;) I loveeee you<3" I laughed a little and sent back a heart. I fell asleep on the couch a couple minutes later, listing to JoJo purr.
