I: I'm sorry.

I: I'm sorry for not saving you this time. For not knowing that it was you under that cowl, for not finding out sooner about you, for not finding out sooner about my own father, for going up against you all when you were just doing your duty, for beating you up so bad that you're probably in an ICU right now, for being a complete bitch to you...

I: I'm sorry for everything.

I: But I've never been sorry for loving you.

I: and I will keep loving you till the day I die.

The doorbell rang and Jason went to open the door. Irina knew it was her aunt and sure enough, Lena walked in, going straight up to Irina. Helena gently squeezed her hand and gave her a reassuring nod.

"Ren, my child..."

Lena had rushed forward to embrace her and just like Irina had warned them before, she burst into tears, holding on to her aunt tightly. Lena's eyes were welling up with tears as well and she herself felt pain at finding her so emotionally devastated.

Richard took Jason aside and talked to him for a while in a low inaudible voice and soon after he left in order to go back to the hospital. But it seemed as if whatever he had told him had relieved Jason a lot as he very noticeably exhaled in relief.

When they pulled apart, Lena was still holding her by the arms. She took a good look at her, observing the scratches and bruises on her skin as well as the bandage on her arm, and her face depicted pain at seeing her like that. "My dear, what happened?"

But she couldn't bring herself to answer that question as her voice seemed to have gone mute but her body was still trembling slightly from the sobs that were choking her from the inside.

"She's not in the position to tell you anything," Jason spoke up softly, "try to understand, Miss Luthor, she's traumatized."

Lena nodded as she sat down on the couch with Irina, eyes searching her face for any sign that would convey any sort of answer. But then she turned to face Jason, "has she seen the news?"

"She knows," Helena replied knowing that she was probably referring to the news of Lex's horrible death.

"My dear child," Lena gathered in her arms again, gently rubbing her back as she dissolved into tears, "be strong. I know it's hard on you, facing two calamities at the same time. But you have to be strong. If not for yourself, then be so for Tim."

Hearing his name was enough to plunge a sharp arrow of guilt straight through her heart. "Tim... He's hurt so bad... I'm so scared, Aunt Len."

"He will be fine," she spoke reassuringly, "before coming here, Richard took me to the hospital."

"Did you see him?" she pulled back immediately as if someone had struck her with an electric shock, "did you meet him? Did he say anything? Has he woken up?"

Lena was extremely worried to see her like that as she cupped her face gently, "easy there, Ren. He's fine. And yes he was awake when I met him."

"Was he okay? Did he say anything to you? Did he... Did he mention me?" her voice suddenly turned from that of relief to fear as she asked.

"Child, he had just gone through surgery so the anesthesia hadn't worn off completely. But he was conscious and the doctors say that he's recovering quickly. Though he didn't say anything to me because he's still having difficulty in speaking. Other than that he's okay. He will get better in no time."
