Samantha couldn't sleep all night. Tyler's words kept haunting her all night
I had to... i couldnt let kathy go through all of that... not after everything she and her family did for us... samantha thought to herself. The next morning wasn't that great either. Samantha woke up her alarm.
"Ugh" she groaned, turning over to turn it off.
"A text from liz." She noticed.
"I wonder what she wants."
Hey sam, I'm sorry about kathy overhearing everything.but i think we should talk. Meet me at mall, 11 o clock if you're up for it. Please? Its okay liz you dont have to apologize. And yeah I'll be there. I need your advise...
She sent back the text.
"Its already 10 I should hurry up."
First she wanted to check on kathy to make sure she wasn't still mad at her or anything."Kathy!" She knocked on Kathy's room door.
"Its open." Kathy called back.
"Hey." She said as she walked in.
"Hi"
"Look kathy, I'm really sorry for everything."
"Its okay sammie. I'm not upset that you and tyler dated briefly. I mean it was history as ty explained to me last night. You guys werent even that close. And besides, you were deeply in love with that jerk that left you...""Right, well I'm happy you understand then kat." Samantha said and forced a smile.
"I'm not saying that I've forgiven either of you... completely. You should have told me atleast but oh well..." Kathy stated.
"Yeah i know you're right. I'm sorry." Samantha said."Its okay. I just want my wedding to go smoothly now and lets not tell anyone else about this incident. I dont want any unnecessary trouble." Kathy said.
"Yeah of course kat." She replied.
After talking to kathy, she went back to her room to get dressed. She wasnt in the mood to dress up. She threw on a pair of blue jeans and a hoody and fixed her hair in a messy bun. After that she went to the cafe in the hotel to grab some breakfast.
"Actually I'm not in the mood to eat anything. I'll just have a cup black coffee" she told a waitress.
"Thank you." She said as she reached over the counter to collect it.
"Black coffee." She heard a very familiar voice say behind of her.
It was tyler.
"Tyler" she said as she turned around.
"Look," he started. "You obviously want me to be with kathy, and she is an amazing woman. So i think its just best we stick to the plan."
"The plan? Tyler this is our lives we're talking about not some game!" She told him.
"Yeah well weren't you thinking about that when you freaking decicded that kathy should marry me even if i lov-""tyler-"
"I dont wanna hear it! What is it that makes you give in to kathy, always!"
"Im not giving in to her i just-"
"You just what?"
"You dont talk tyler! Last night, you and kathy seemed to be having a nice conversation about how we were history!"
"I thought you wouldn't have a problem with that since you made the wedding continue even though we agreed that we would tell her the truth."
"I know. I was wrong."
"The hell you were. Which is why I'm saying that we do what we were supposed to do. I marry Kathy, we move to Australia and you go back to oxford. And whatever happened between us wont matter."
"I know. I completely agree with you."
"yeah so why did even bring up the idea of telling kathy in the first place?" He asked.
"Because I- I dont know." She replied and hurried out of the cafe.
~at the mall~
Liz and samantha found a small pastry shop.
" Samantha, i know you love Kathy a lot and all but why? Why did you practically force tyler to be with her even though you both love eachother?" Liz asked her."I just think that they would be better with eachother. Then he's moving to Australia and i have to back to college. Its impossible to make this work." She said.
"Samantha dont lie to me. You love him!" Liz said. "Tell me what's wrong." Liz commanded.
"Fine. Before tyler and i left to go look for kathy last night, we were completely wet from the rain and well we went to change. And before i went back to meet him at the car i saw my mom. Appearently she overheard you at the park as well." Samantha explained.
"Oh my god." Liz said
"Kathy's parents helped us out, a lot when my father didn't have job they helped him get one. They even helped me out with textbooks at one point. They lent us money and stuff until we were able to you know... make it by ourselves. Mom reminded me that it we owe them... a lot. So she told me that i couldn't take Kathy's happiness away from her." Samantha said."Oh god sam I'm so sorry." Liz replied.
"But that cant hold that over you forever?" Liz said."I owe them this. And as much as it hurts... i can't do anything about it." Samantha replied.
