elevator trouble

"Hey kathy," Samantha ssaid as she entered kathys room.

"Hey." Kathy smiled, putting some clothes into a suitcase. "I'm almost done packing. I have have to go home to grab a few things." She said.

"Oh. So did you finalize a flight?" Samantha asked.

"Yeah. We leave tonight around 8." Kathy said. "And we come back Monday morning in time to get ready for the wedding tuesday."

"Oh thank god. So you're okay with me being here and then you- you know... tyler isn't going." Samantha said. She wanter to make sure kathy was comfortable with her staying in the same hotel with tyler while she was away.

"Yeah. I'm sure. Besides I need you to take care of the wedding stuff while I'm not here. And I trust you." Kathy said.

"Thanks kathy. I love you." Samantha said.

"Love you too cuz. So your principal didnt mind?" She asked

"No, he said that he would hate to disappoint a lovely bride like you." Samantha said. " that day when you called, you really rubbed off on him." She laughed.

"That's great." Kathy said.

Then someone knocked on the door.

"Its open!" Kathy yelled.

"Hey kathy." Tyler said. He seemed a little surprised to see Samantha.

"Hey ty." She smiled.

"I just wanted to make sure everything was okay before you left." He said.

"Yeah babe everything is great." She replied.

Tyler's pov

After dropping kathy and her parents off at the airport. He headed straight up to his room. He didn't wanna risk running into Samantha. It always happened one way or the other.

What does she think of herself? I know she was drunk that night but she loves me... who needs love anyway? I was happy with kathy in the past and I'll be happy with her in the future, as soon Samantha goes out of the picture. I am not gonna run behind her like a lost puppy. And with that, he went straight to his room and slammed to door.

The next morning...

Samantha's pov

"I need to up hurry up. Liz is gonna kill me for being late!" She said to herself as she grabbed her phone.

After her rant to liz last night about everything that happened with her amd Tyler that night and then Kathy's desicion to go to the funeral, liz made her meet her at the park.

"Hey!" Liz smiled as she saw samantha.

"Heyy lizzie" samantha said taking a seat next to her on a bench.

"So! I think its all a sign-" liz started

"No stop right there." Samantha said pointing a finger at her.

"What? Tell about that night!" Liz smiled.

"I was drunk. I said some stuff, I cant really remember but then in the morning tyler said I-" she couldn't continue. She was so ashamed of herself.

"Aww hunny calm down. I'm sorry to say but, ignore your mom! You love the guy! He loves you too!" Liz exclaimed

"I can't do that liz. She's my mother." Samantha said. "Not to mention, the favours kathy and her family to for us."

"So you're gonna let him walk away again?" Liz asked.

"No liz, he let me walk away first. I'm just returning the favour." She replied  making her heart hurt.
