dinner

"I can't believe its night time already," samantha sighed as she stood on the balcony from her hotel room. She stated over at the ocean who's waves made her feel calmer than she did before. She recollected everything that happended today, her drink getting spiked, meeting liz and that moment with tyler. Her train of thoughts were interrupted by kathy.

"hi sammie," kathy said as she made her way over to the balcony. "Ty said you were looking for me?" She asked. "Yeah i wanted to tell you who a ran into." Samantha replied. "Okay who?" Kathy said. "Liz!" Samantha squeeled. "Liz?" Kathy asked. "Oh you probably don't remember. Liz was my best friend in high school." Samantha said. "Oh that great! Was she the one who was i  love with ty?" Kathy giggled. Samantha was confused for a second but then she remembered she told kathy that she knew so much about tyler because one of her friends was in love with him. "Oh oh no no not her," Samantha smiled awkaredly.
"Oh okay." Kathy smiled. "I hope you invited her for all of the events ?" Kathy said. "Yep! I did." Samnatha said smiling proudly. "Well get ready for dinner." Kathy told her. "Dinner?" Samantha asked. "We are all gonna have dinner tonight." Kathy said. " Just us and ty's family." "Oh okay then" samantha said.

~an hour later~

Everyone was gathered in the hotel restaurant, sitting down at a circular "Okay everyone, can i have your attention please?" Kathy said as she hit a fork to a glass of champange. "I just wanted us to get together as a family you know, without any strangers just as a small cute family, so I-" she was cut off by the ringing of a cell phone. Everyone looked around to figure out where it was coming from, then samantha realised it was her. Her eyes widened in embarrasment as she took her phone out of her small black purse. Tyler glared at her. "I'm so sorry!" She said and shot kathy an apologetic smile. "Its okay," kathy mouthed with a smile. Samantha ended the call. "Who was it?" Kathy whispered into Samantha's ears. "Its jake," she replied. "You should take it" kathy said. "No you were in the middle of a speech." Samantha said. "Its okay we'll wait for you," kathy smiled. "Are you sure Samantha asked her. "Yes! Now go," kathy laughed. Samantha got up and left. Kathy noticed a sour expression on Tyler's face. She smiled at tyler and signalled him to get up. She met him away from the table where everyone was. They all seemed too caught up in a story about kathy when she was little to notice that they left too. "Are you upset?" She asked tyler. "Yeah, you hate it when someone interrupts you when you're talking, I know she's your cousin and whatever but you still let her take the stupied call." He scowled. He wasn't angry because kathy let her, he was angry that she was talking to jake again.
"Ty, i let her cuz she hasn't been in a relationship for the past five years!" Kathy said. He was shocked, that means she didn't date anyone after they broke up. He swallowed and asked, "and why's that?" He asked. "She had a really bad break up, the guy was a jerk." He felt like something punched him in the gut. "He left her cuz she wouldn't go with to college and when she got into oxford, he just left her. And can you believe they dated for 3 years in high school?" She exclaimed. "she never told me much about him cuz i was living in Minnesota at the time. I dont even know his name and i didn't want to constanly bring it up." She said. Tyler felt speechless. "All i know is that she loved him... a lot! After he left, she didnt wanna talk to anyone or do anything, she was depressed! Luckily we moved to New York and all of us convinced her to go ahead with the scolarship. He broke her heart ty, and jake is the first guy that she actually pays attention to! So if things could work out with them, that would be so good for her."  Kathy said, finally stopping to take a breath. "So he really broke her heart huh?" Was all he could think of to say. He was shook. He had no idea she took him on that serious. He thought she didn't care...
