V went alone up the Cliphot. He was loosing strength quickly, his end was near and he knew that. He needed to make it up there though. He had to get to Urizen and connect with him again. He had to fix what he did wrong. Then he felt the urge to stop his journey. He looked behind him when he heard the footsteps. He widened his eyes when he felt a pull to the mysterious demon. He felt the power radiating off of him, so there was no doubt he wasn't someone you could mess with.

-Who are you? - asked V.

-Apart from being your mate as it turns out? - asked the demon. - I'm Y/n, Dante's friend. He called me for a party and it seems like we have one hell of a ride here. So what's your name cutie?

-You can call me V.

-Just that? Okay, we can work with this. - chuckled Y/n. - Do you know where Dante is?

-At the top of the Cliphot. - answered V and watched as Y/n extended his huge wings.

-Hop on, welcome to L/n Airlines. -grinned Y/n.

His grin faltered when he noticed how weak V was. He turned back in his human form and helped V walk. V widened his eyes at the familiar face. Y/n was indeed Dante's friend,since their childhood times to be exact.

-So what will you do at the top? -asked Y/n. - You don't want to tell me that you will be fighting Urizen, right?

-I and Urizen are one. - said V.- We detached from each other after a mistake I did.

-So that's why the mating bond feels so incomplete. - muttered Y/n.

-That's correct. - nodded V. The way he spoke reminded Y/n about certain someone.

As they walked Y/n and V exchanged more and more information about each other. Y/n was motivated to get V to the top as soon as possible. When they were almost there Y/n finally needed to take the break. He sat down next to V and sighed as he was sure who V and Urizen were parts of.

-Listen Vergil. - said Y/n. - I have something to confess, something that I admited to Dante, but never had courage to tell you. If I confessed it earlier, maybe you wouldn't think you're alone in the world. Maybe you wouldn't feel neglected. Maybe the whole story would go differently.

-What is it? - asked V, encouraging him to continue.

-I loved you. - Y/n smiled sadly. - And now it turns out we are mates. I fucked up badly.

-It's okay.

-No it's not. - huffed Y/n. - I blame myself until this day for keeping this away from you. Now let's get you to Urizen.

Time skip

Y/n and V made it to the top of the Cliphot in the same time as Nero. Urizen was already laying on the ground. Dante tried to stop V, but he didn't make it on time. Y/n's breath hitched when he saw Vergil in flesh in front of him. Dante's brother turned to face them and looked at his mate directly. He went up to him, pushing Dante's attack away and hugged him. Y/n trapped him in his embrace as well and held him tight for few minutes. Dante couldn't believe his eyes.

-There will be no fighting between you two , Dante. - said Y/n glaring at him slightly. - Game's over.

-So now what? - asked Dante. - You two will go away and have a happy ending?

-Yes. - grinned Y/n. - Vergil, you were in Fortuna few years ago, right?

-I was, why? - asked Vergil, clearly not comfortable with the question.

-Nero is an outcome of this visit. -said Y/n.

-What?! - yelled Nero.

-Me and Dante were having a hunch when we first saw you, but we weren't sure. - explained Y/n. - And then we saw how the Yamato reacted and we were certain. Now let's clean up this mess. Vergil, go with Dante and Nero to the van. I will cut the Cliphot down.

-You'll get trapped in hell if you'll do that. - argued Nero.

-Calm down child, you know I will come back. - smirked Y/n. - You won't get rid of me so easily. - he said winking at him and kissed Vergil's cheek, making him hide his face in the collar of his coat.

Y/n extended his wings and got out of the Cliphot. He cut it off quickly and flew back as fast as he could. The gate closed before he managed to get out though. Y/n rolled his eyes and opened the gate with his sword. He made his way through it and landed on the street. He smirked, put his sword away and slowly strode in the direction of the van. He made his way in and grinned seeing everyone were there, having a dinner.

-Will you find some left overs for the tired wanderer? - chuckled Y/n.

Nico fixed him the plate and after the meal they went back to Fortuna. They made a stop at Devil May Cry to leave the twins, Lady, Trish and Y/n there. Vergil stayed with his mate and brother. Even if he wanted he wouldn't be able to leave Y/n. They went on the jobs together and shared the room in Devil May Cry. None of them would exchange it for anything in the world, for Vergil understood that there's nothing more empowering than family and the soulmate by his side.
