Chapter sixteen

It's nice to be back from christmas since i missed everyone, but it was also nice to see my family. My christmas was nice in general but when i got a letter back from Virgil it got even better.

Dear Maja

Thank you for the letter and merry christmas to you as well. I had a great christmas here at school and i hope you did as well. I'm excited for everyone to come back, and i can't promise no more detention. I told Lucas your message but he disagrees and that he has never seen anyone turn that red. Anyways i will see you soon.

Virgil

I have just entered my comonroom and said hi to everyone but i'm already thinking about finding Virgil. But i don't know where he is and it would suck if i just left my friends right after we have reunited.

"Let's go eat dinner." Tori says after me, Daisy and her have talked for a while.

"Yeah, im hungry let's go." Daisy says and her stomach makes a sound.

"I can hear that." I say and giggle.

We walk to the great hall and eat our food, i love the food at home but i kinda missed it here as well. Dumbledore welcomes us back and the rest of the school year officially begins. I can feel the butterflies in my stomach, from just thinking about the rest of the school year. I wonder what's going to happen, i just hope i can stay out of trouble now but with Virgil around it's probably impossible.

Speaking of Virgil how does he manage to hide so well, i can never find him.

"Aren't you going to go and find Virgil?" Tori says quietly as we are leaving the great hall.

"Only if it's okay for you guys." I say.

"Well get going then, it's fine with us." Daisy says and smiles. I smile back at her before i wave to them and leave.

"Virgil, i was looking for you." I say as i meet him in the corridors around the slytherin common room. I thought he would be around here and turns out i was right.

"I was hoping that you where." He says and shows his adorable smile.

"Did you enjoy your christmas here?" I ask and smile back at him.

"Meh it was fine, thank you for the letter tho." He says.

"Your welcome, and thank you for sending one back." I say and pull out a small box from my pocket. "I got something for you."

"Oh, but you didn't have to and i don't have anything for you."He says and it looks like he feels bad about it.

"Don't feel bad about it, i just found this and thought you would like it. You didn't know i would give you something." I say to try and cheer him up. "Now open it." I say and give him the box, he opens it and the box reveals a small pin with a emerald green snake on it.

"I know it pretty stupid, you don't have to like it." I say when he doesn't say anything.

"No, i mean i do like it." He says and pauses to look at it again. "I like it a lot, thank you." He says and looks back at me with a small smile and soft eyes. I can feel my heart melting and i smile back at him once again, we lock eyes but something weird happens. For a second his eyes does not meet mine but instead my lips, it doesn't happen for long but it's enough for me to notich. A small blush appears on my face but before anything happens a voice filled the silence.

"Virgil what's up, oh and whos that." A slytherin i haven't seen before approaches us and i feel a bit of disappointment, i wonder why.

"Oh Logan, This is Maya she's my friend." He says and i think i can hear some disappointment in his voice as well.

"I didn't know you were friends with a hufflepuff." He says and gives me one of those looks that tells me to back off. "Oh and what's this." He says and snatches the gift out of Virgil's hands. "A snake pin, how cute."

"Come on Lohan give it back." Virgil says.

"Fine whatever." Logan says and gives it back. "But be careful i dont think your parents would be exactly happy, if they found out you hanging out with a hufflepuff." He says and smirks.

"You wouldn't dare." He says, and the piercing eyes i haven't seen in a long time once again returns.

"We'll see." Logan says and starts walking away.

Virgil turns back to me and says "I'm sorry Maya but i have to take care of this, i will see you later." And then he starts following Logan.

What just happened, and what's up with his parents?

Im sorry it took some time for me to write this but i have school and stuff to do. I will try to update at least once a week but if i cant then im sorry but i have school.
