Aaron and I have been practicing for a few weeks now. That might seem like only a small bit of progress was made, but when Aaron is your coach and you have a lot of time, you start learning very fast.

Aaron says I'm almost ready, since most of it will be me hiding, and the chances of me being attacked are low. But he also says, that we need to practice as precaution, which does not lull me to sleep at night.

I have been praying to Irene every night before bed to protect me and my pack, but I'm starting to feel it's hopeless.

It's not yet known when the G.F are going to attack us. Which isn't good news. I could be ambushed, blackmailed, kidnapped, murdered, injured, and all of it could happen at any time. I was snapped out of my thoughts as Aaron finished saying something, something that I wasn't listening to.

I think he noticed this, but didn't pick a fight over it.

"Aaron, do you know why the G.F wants me?" I said, staring at the sky, leaning my head against the bark of an old tree I was sitting on.

"Because you're the Ultima, right?" he said, also not looking at me.

"Why aren't you afraid?" I said, now turning my head towards him, watching his face that has no emotion on it.

"Just because you learn something about someone, doesn't mean that that's when it started effecting them. You've been the Ultima since I met you, and you showed kindness. Just because I now found out doesn't mean that all disappears. You're not the Ultima in my eyes, just Aphmau."

He turned his head toward me now, looking me in the eyes. I slowly crawled toward him, straddling him and kissing him. He kissed back until we both took a break to catch our breath.

-

He snorted and shook his head while we were walking back,

"What's so funny?" I said looking at him,

"Nothing, just imagined you trying to be scary," he said smirking, looking at me waiting for me to get angry.

And that I did.

-

"Are you trying to say that you're backing out, Zachary?" he said, walking towards the other man.

"Michael! I'm not I'm just suggesting that we take some time to come up with a stronger plan," he said frantically.

Michael pulled a gun out of his pocket and shot the man, the innocent man dying there, as workers cowardly pulled him out to no make a mess as he bled out.

He tucked the gun in his pocket, looking around, glaring at everyone. They all immediately went back to work.

Laying in my bed, restless. Can't get any sleep, tossing and turning, staring out my window. Watching the full moon as I ached to howl at it.

I heard movement in my living room, and stood up slowly, making no noise.

The first thing Aaron taught me was that, no, in fact, saying 'Who's there' will not help you at all. I held my breath as I grabbed a baseball bat from when Dottie, Blaze, Rylan, and I played.

As I walked out, I felt relieved noticing that the lights were off and it was pitch black. They couldn't see me, thank god. But also, I couldn't see them.

Crunch

I turned, landing my baseball bat on their ribs, they groaned, but tried stabbing me, and I only dodged it.

By now there was been many sounds of glass breaking, and loud bangings. This was the only time I was hoping the Bun Trio would knock.

My baseball bat was taken abruptly from my hand, and I turned to see the green eyed man.

"Miss me?" he said, and brought a hand up roughly, pushing chloroform into my breaths as I passed out.
