"Let's head out then,"

We opened the door and I saw him standing there.

"Long time no see, kid," he said with no emotion.

"Hey R,"

He nodded and led us, occasionally nodding at someone.
The place we stopped at was a small hotel. It was about 3 stories high. I also should mention that the hotel didn't look to be in it's prime condition, it had vines crawling over the walls, some cracks in its concrete and some dirt here and there.

We walked inside, registering and walking down the hall. I was relieved to see the inside was not unusual. It had a normal hotels cleanliness. Not many rooms were in this hotel, mostly because not many people came to this island. We had two rooms, with five people. Aphmau and I took the smaller room, since we were the smaller group, and I wasn't surprised to see how little the room was. After all, no one really came here, just old couples looking for a getaway.

I sighed, looking around and putting down the small backpack we brought with essentials.

"It's the best we've got, so let's forget about luxury and live," said Aphmau. I nodded.

"I'm taking a shower," she said, "you should too when I'm done," She said, and I nodded, but a thought came to my mind.

I blushed, brushing it off. Unless...

"Do I have to wait?" I said looking at her about to close the door. She blushed and said,

"S-Stop it!"

I stood up, walking over to her, towering her. "Do you really want me to?" she just sat there, dumbfounded.

I chuckled, and sat back down on the bed. "I'll leave you alone," I said. But she stopped me, by grabbing my shirt collar.

"Or don't," she said raising an eyebrow.

"Damnit, dog, give back my phone!" yelled Zane

"Why should I?" said Daniel. "Ask nicely, then maybe." Zane just growled.

"Boys! You better stop because Kawaii~Chan is not going to be your mother!"

"Hmph," said Zane, and I glared at him.

"Boss wants us to find them, and not lose them this time."

"Didn't they take off in one of our boats?"

"Yeah, so?"

"Don't those have trackers?"

"Nope, they turned it off."

"They're either on water or on some island, because it didn't have that much gas..."

"Maybe they went... here?"

"We can't mess this up,"

"I'm sure."

Everyone sat in the same common room. No one was talking, but it wasn't awkward. People were just tired.

"We should go out to get clothes, instead of wearing the same thing everyday," said Zane grumpily.

I put on a shocked face, "Oh my! You're a genius, thank you Zane, I didn't think of that yet!" I exclaimed, and he rolled his eyes.

"Maybe there is a corner store or something around here," said Aaron when I saw a puff of smoke behind him.

"Hello! I heard you needed a guy-d!" said the person, making everyone jump back.

"Well, we need a place there might be clothes at," said Kawaii~Chan.

"Well there's one about five minutes from here, I can take you there!" he said.

"We don-" started Zane but I interrupted him.

"That would be great, thank you," I said. "What's your name?"

"It's Guy," and Daniel snorted, me elbowing him after.

"Nice!"

Aphmau giggled, picking up a dress.

"Hey Daniel? Maybe you would like this," she said, still giggling.

"No, that's a dress," said Daniel with me snickering, "besides, it's too small." making even Aaron laugh this time, shaking his head.

Did we get we get enough? Yes. We got armfuls of clothing.

"It think that's enough," said Aaron just as I was about to get something else.

"Fine, we'll go," I said. To be fair, not all of it was mine, we had gotten at least enough clothing equally for everyone.
Kawaii~Chan paid, being that she was the only one with money.

"I'm sorry you're the only one who paid Kawaii~Chan," I told her sympathetically, but she just looked at me, unfazed. "It's not like Kawaii~Chan is going back to the way things were," and we kept walking forward.

But that didn't settle me, I was still sorry even after she said that. Although she told me she wanted to be a part of this, I can't help but feel bad we left behind everything she had. She must have missed something, anything, even just good food. Yet, she decided to leave it all behind, just to come with me. And I hadn't done anything yet to repay her.

"Hey Kawaii~Chan?"

"Yes, Aphmau~Senpai?"

"I just wanted to say that I feel bad that we left all your stuff behind, and that you don't have anything remember it here, or even family or pets-"

"What the hell! We got a dog on water!" yelled Zane from inside his room.

"Zane you're ruining the moment!"

"No literally, a dog!" he yelled. I opened the door and walked inside, half expecting him to be bluffing.

"Is that Celeste? Wait a minute, that's Celeste, I can tell from here," I said.

"Who is Celeste?" said Zane. But I didn't bother, because Celeste must have been cold if she had to swim all the way here. (still have no clue how that makes any sense in s2 but whatever)

"Celeste! Hi doggy, did you miss me?" I said in the high squeaky voice everyone does while talking to their pets, while Daniel cooed, and Kawaii~Chan looked away as if embarrassed to be around us.

Celeste acted as if nothing changed, as if she hadn't swam that far to be here, or that we were at a place she didn't recognize. It was quite amazing, she just walked like any other day.

An eruption of 'not it!'s exploded in the room. Everyone looked at Kawaii~Chan. "I am not bathing a dog covered with salt and sand!" she exclaimed.

We arrived, and from first glance I wanted to leave and not come back, but the Ultima could be here. And if I caught the Ultima, boss might treat me better.

So I had to suck it up and search the damn place.

"Hello, how may I help you?" said an elderly gentleman at the docks. His voice was cracked, and when he spoke it was quiet. "I'm here to search this island. I'm with the G.F."

"Oh, there's nothing crazy over here, but if you insist," and he moved to the side. I was about to walk away, but stopped with my back still facing him.

"Thank you, sir," I said, and continued walking through to all the other soldiers.

"I heard from R," said Aaron walking into the room. He spoke as if he had bad news.

"What's going on?" asked Daniel.

"They're on the island."

sorry this coronavirus got me hibernating so i didn't do much writing
