Kairi's POV

I glanced over and saw Mattia and Y/n talking to each other, that girl is so clueless. We all know about how he feels about her, but I mean, anyone could tell by just the way he looks at her.

I tapped Alejandro's shoulder and got him to look at them, he smiled for a brief second. Roshaun got in between mine and Ale's heads.
Roshaun: Should I embarrass him real quick?
I shook my head lightly.
You: Nah, let him have this one. Next time tho, don't even ask.

He laughed and we all just looked at them for a while, I don't think they even remembered we were in the room.

Robert cleared his throat and they didn't budge at all, they were really connecting. So we decided to leave them both alone for a while, we don't wanna cockblock.

Mattia's POV

As she spoke, I couldn't help but study her. She's truly something else, she's beautiful, smart, funny. I've been really attracted to her since the first time I ever met her, but I can't help myself! When someone as amazing as her comes into your life, you can't help but develop feelings like these. Sometimes I wish I wasn't such a bitch and that I'd just come clean to her about how I feel, but there's no way that's happening anytime soon. And I don't wanna ruin my friendship with her, that's more valuable than my dumb feelings.

Her soft voice was so soothing to listen to, therapeutic in a sense.
Y/n: There was actually this girl back in San Diego who only talked to me because she wanted me to set you guys up together.
You: Are you serious?
Y/n: Deadass bro, she would literally nag at me everyday about it. Her names—

Her phone started ringing.
Y/n: Omg it's her.
She answered and put it on speaker.
Y/n: Hello?
Girl: You fucking moved without even telling me?? I thought we were friends!
Y/n: I know that the only reason you talked to me was because Mattia's my friend.

What I wanted was so much more than just a friendship...

Girl: I was actually starting to like hanging out with you, but then you betray me like this? Wtf!
I sat up and grabbed the phone.
You: Hi, I'm not sure who you are, but I'd really appreciate if you didn't talk to Y/n like that. And if I find out you do again, there will be consequences, got it?

There was no noise on the other end of the phone for about 5 seconds, then I heard that girls voice.
Girl: M- Mattia??? Is that you???
You: It is, and I'm letting you know that I better never hear you talk to her like that ever again.
Girl: Ok, I won't.
I handed the phone back to Y/n and the girl started yelling something.
Girl: ADD MY SNAP @JA-

She hung up before that girl finished her sentence and she and I giggled.
Y/n: That was Janessa, the girl that so desperately wanted to be set up with you.
I let out a small sigh as a smile grew on my face.
You: I'm so glad you didn't set me up with her, I can already tell I wouldn't have liked her.
Y/n: I said the exact same thing! I know you too well.
If only you knew my real feelings... Then you'd really know me...

Your POV

I looked over at him as he looked at me, there go my nerves again. Why were they acting up so much? There's nothing I should be nervous about.

You: Why are you looking at me like that?
Mattia: I'm just admiring the view.
His half smile sent chills down my spine, who knew one look could do that to a person?

I laid next to him and stared up at the ceiling, he did the same.
You: Mattia?
Mattia: Yes?
You: Have you ever fallen in love with someone?
He propped his head up on his hand again and looked over at me.
Mattia: Once, but that's in the past. Have you?
I shook my head.
You: Have you wanted to feel that way about someone again?
I looked up at him, still laying down.
Mattia: Everyday, I'm just waiting for the right person, ya know?
You: Yeah, but what if that person never shows up?

I now had my head propped up on my hand and was facing him, he gently moved my hair out of my face and smiled at me.
Mattia: That person always shows up, sooner or later.

I smiled a tiny bit as did he, we took in the silence and just looked at each other. We were suddenly startled when we heard the door open a tiny bit, the guys were looking in at us.

You: Hi guys.
The door swung open and they just stood in the doorway, staring at us.
Mattia: What's with you guys?
They all made the exact same smirky face, Mattia and I looked at each other confused.
Alvaro: Are y'all done flirting so we can actually hang out all together?
I looked over at Mattia with wide eyes as Kairi smacked the back of his head, Mattia seemed unfazed.

You: You didn't have to leave, we were just talking. Do you wanna come back in here?
They all nodded and climbed onto the bed, Mattia sat up next to me. I rested my head against the wall, inhaling and exhaling softly, and was completely calm. Then Robert started to speak.

Rob: We won't stay long because we know you're tired, but do you want food?
You: I could totally go for food right now.
Kai: I'll drive.
All the guys said no.
Kai: You guys suck!

I rubbed his hair as I walked by him and smiled at him, he smiled at me.
You: Are you a bad driver or what?
Roshaun: The worst.
Kai: Cap.
