Alvaro walked up to the table at lunch and sat right next to me and observed Mattia and I as we were looking at Instagram on his phone. Alvaro took a minute or 2 before he spoke. Alvaro: He really wants to talk to you Y/n. I sighed and looked over at him. You: Varo, I'm not gonna talk to him. He said what he said and there's nothing I can do about it now, I'm sorry. He ran his fingers through his hair. Alvaro: I told him that but he's still adamant about talking to you about it because he doesn't want you 'to be mad at him.' I rolled my eyes again. You: It's way to late for that and he knows it, tell him I said— Alex: You could just tell me yourself... We all turned around and faced Alex, Mattia crossed his arms as he did so. You: Fine then, let's go talk.
I kissed Mattia before standing up and walking away with Alex, my anger started to flare up again.
Just calm down, everything's gonna be fine.
We went into the stairwell where we knew nobody would be, I stood far away from him and wouldn't make eye contact. Alex: Y/n, you can't ignore me forever. You: Watch me. I glared at him as he looked down at his feet. Alex: I thought you knew about Hailey, that's why I said that. You: Well I didn't. I looked away from him, he came and stood right in front of me. Alex: Dude, come on. You're with Mattia now so you shouldn't be mad at me about cheating anymore. You: That's not the only thing I'm still mad about Alex. You made me look like a fool for trusting you like that, leaked mine and Mattia's date which you knew was private, told Kai you wanted to try and get back with me before I fell in love with Mattia, and you put my relationship in jeopardy not once, but twice in less than 24 Hours. Don't think you're so innocent because you're not. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going back to the table. I walked away and sighed as I sat back at the table, Mattia pulled me into a hug and let me rest my head on his shoulder. Rob: You ok? I nodded. You: He's just got such a hard head and such a large ego, it's hard to get through to him... Mattia: I'm sorry baby. You: Don't be sorry, some things just don't work out sometimes. Maybe he and I are meant to be nothing more than strangers...
I hated even the thought of that because I do love Alex so much and I always wanted him in my life, but this, this wasn't him. I wanted him back, the real him. He's been like my older brother, I love him to death and I hate having to do this, but maybe it's time to let go. Not permanently, but for a while, just to give us both time to figure everything out and focus on what's really important.
I looked up at Mattia as he looked at his phone and smiled.
This is all I wanted to focus on, this boy right here in front of me. I don't want anything to ruin what we have, this is like a once in a lifetime love.
He kissed my forehead causing me to snap back into reality. Robert: Y'all know homecomings coming up soon right? We all nodded. Kai: Why is it always so early? Mattia: So they can get it over with while it's still warm without having to spend a shit ton of money on it like prom. Roshaun: Are we all going tho? We all nodded again. Kai: No dates? Mattia and I looked at him with furrowed eyebrows. Kai: With the exception of you 2 of course. We giggled. You: Homecoming sounds fun.
Roshaun: The real fun part is the after parties, people from other school along with people from our school all come together and chill literally only for hoco. You: Not any other time of the year? They all shook their heads. Rob: Our schools are all rivalry schools, we've all learned to hate each other. But each schools homecoming is an exception because we all love to party. I was astonished. You: WOW, that's crazy. Rob: Yeah I forgot that in San Diego everyone's all goody-goody. You: Not everyone. He rolled his eyes. Rob: With the exception of you. Mattia looked at me. Mattia: You? A bad kid? I never woulda thought. I giggled and snuggled into him a little bit.
I wasn't ready to tell him about what happened in Cali, but I will tell him someday.
