As badly as I wanted to look away, I couldn't. It wasn't until I felt myself about to start crying that I walked away from the door, I didn't want Mattia to see me upset although he followed after me.
Mattia: Are you ok?
I shook my head, I slumped myself against a wall and just sat there, crying. He came and sat next to me.
Mattia: I'm so sorry.
You: It's not your fault, I should've listened to Kairi...
He held me in his embrace as I sobbed, I felt so small in this moment. I was so dumb for allowing him to play me like that, I should've listened to Kairi.

Mattia let go of me and looked me in the face, he wiped the tears that were rolling down my cheeks lightly with his thumb and flashed me a small smile.
Mattia: Come on, let's go get you cleaned up.
He stood up and helped me up. He walked me over to a group of girls sitting at a table not too far from where we were.

Mattia: Taylor, can you help me with something?
A short girl turned her body to face us.
Girl: Sure, what's up.
He pulled me in front of him.
Mattia: This is Y/n and she just got cheated on and she's been crying, as you can probably tell. Is there any way you could fix her makeup?
The girl turned to face me, I smiled a faint smile and she smiled back.
Girl: I definitely can.
She sat me down in the chair next to her and reached into a bag filled with makeup products.
Girl: Alright Y/n, I'm Taylor, and I'm gonna turn you into a bad bitch right here, right now. You don't need whoever cheated on you, he's stupid for doing it anyways.
I smiled as she started fixing my makeup which I was hoping wasn't too bad, she finished in about 10 minutes and I thanked her as I walked back to the group with Mattia. He stopped me right before we got to the table everyone was at.

Mattia: Do you wanna get out of here?
You: God yes.
Robert came up to us.
Rob: Did you find him?
I nodded.
Rob: Well, where is he?
You: Making out with another girl...
His expression dropped as he pulled me into a tight hug.
Rob: I'm so sorry Y/n.
You: It's ok, really.  I think Mattia and I are gonna get out of here, I really don't wanna be here anymore.
Robert nodded before retracting himself from the hug.
Rob: Lemme go get the guys real quick.

He ran off leaving Mattia and I alone together, he looked at me with a sympathetic look on his face.
You: Please don't feel bad, it's not your fault.
He pulled me into a warm and loving hug.
Mattia: I know, it's just that you don't deserve to be treated like that.
I hugged him back as tight as I could.
You: I love you Mattia.
He hesitated for a second as if he didn't know what to say to that.
Mattia: I- I love you too, I'm so sorry that he did that to you.

I let go of Mattia just the guys came up to us, Kairi immediately pulled me into a hug.
Kai: I tried to warn you dude.
You: I should've listened to you Kai, I'm sorry.
Kai: Don't apologize, it's not your fault he's a player.
I hugged Kai as tight as I could before letting go and walking back to Mattia, I took a singular deep breath and looked up at him.

We said bye as we left and began walking out of the school. We past all the cars as I called us an Uber which took a while, so we had to wait for a while. We stood at the front of the school waiting for the car and I was still just trying to process what just happened.
I just got cheated on, at prom. Wtf if this bullshit? He said he wouldn't do that to me... Well, i guess that's not the only thing he lied about... I should've listened to everyone...
I snapped back into reality when I heard Mattia's voice.
Mattia: Are you ok shorty?
Shorty. He hasn't called me shorty in a really long time. I was completely zoned out but nodded my head, he stood in front of me with his arms crossed. I looked down at my feet, I couldn't let him see me hurt. He lifted my chin gently, forcing me to make eye contact with him.
Mattia: I know you're not ok, you don't have to hide it from me.
You: I just don't wanna seem vulnerable...
He sighed and pulled me up so I was standing with him, he gently placed my hand in his and intertwined our fingers. I looked at it before looking at him, he shot me a tiny smile and stood next to me. 

The car finally arrived about 5 minutes later and we both got in, I gave the driver the address and laid my head on Mattia's shoulder as the car began moving.
You: Can you please stay with me? My aunt is gone until Sunday and I know that if I'm alone I'm gonna do nothing but cry.
He chuckled.
Mattia: Of course I'll stay with you, I'd do anything for you...
We pulled up to the house and I payed the Uber.

We walked into the house and went straight to my room, we just sat on the bed in silence. We didn't speak for a really long time, we'd just look at each other. I was completely zoned out again until he began to speak.
Mattia: Fuck Ale ong.
I giggled.
You: Yeah... that bitch...
He laughed a little.
Mattia: He doesn't know what he lost, he lost a whole ass wife...

I looked at him after he said that, there go my nerves again. He looked over at me, the tension was building and building. I could tell he wanted it as much as I did. Fuck it. I leaned in as did he and I gently pressed my lips against his, we kissed. He leaned out for a moment and looked directly into my eyes before gently placing his hand on the side of my face, kissing me again. In that moment, I realized I had it wrong the whole time, this was really what was supposed to happen.
