The league watched in surprise and confusion as Harley was on screen

"How did that crazy get a lawyer?"
Asked The flash his mouth hanging open

Wonder Woman just stared at the woman
"She did a case for me once "

Superman turns to Batman
"This isn't good, what on earth happened, how did she possibly get someone crazy enough to take her case"

The all watched as Harley was naming of the people who had taken her in by her account for no reason

"The boy wonder robin, superboy, Aqua lads side kick, the Martian girl, yellow flash and that archer girl, I'm sorry I'm not familiar with all their names but that little team"

Batman sighs and rubs the bridge of his nose
"Of course..... those damn teenagers "

What was In his mind, in all their minds was the impact this might have in the way they operated

Batman looks at the computer
"Computer, search all cameras at the time and location that Harley Quinn was captured by the team"

The results came in seconds and He couldn't believe his eyes, everything Harley was saying at least on the outside looked like it was true
"No...."

He put a communication to robin
"To the cave, now"
He would deal with the boy there

Harley answered questions for another hour before they were led to a court room

She hadn't thought that it would move this quickly she was sat at a table near the front
She felt out of place in her orange jumpsuit and unnatural pail white facade

"Harley Quinn, you have several counts of murder, theft , and arson, and that's only a few of them, how do you plead?"

Harley was unprepared although Kate stepped forward
"This isn't right, we should have had time to prepare"

"I'm sorry miss Spencer but your case was moved up in the schedule "

Harley Quinn stood seeing some people in the observer section behind her flinching and others watching intently

"I gots an idea, it benefits me and screws the biggest asshole in the world"
She whispers to Kate

"Tell me after the opening"

The judge banged their gavel
"Answer!"

"Well your honor can someone be convicted and taken in while doing nothing wrong? To be imprisoned because a freak in tights said so? Because that is exactly what happened to my client!"
The jury murmured the majority in agreement

"So I say she is not guilty, as for her prior offenses, theirs one person who forced her into this life, the joker! What was thought to be love at first became abuse and torture!"

Kate walked back to Harley
"Would you like to say anything, because I'm pretty sure we have the jury won over"

"Yeah"

Harley stood stepping forward
"In the maybe week since I've left the joker I've done nothing wrong, and I found my purpose, that purpose is to care for y/n, he's a child I rescued and took into my home, they make me a better person, and when I was trying to provide for them I was attacked and y/n was stolen by people who call themselves hero's, doesn't sound very heroic to me"

Harley was saving her trump card for the end

"I'm asking for my freedom and my y/n back....I want a normal life again, or as normal as this world can be"

She whipped a tear from her face, it was real, not forced on her part

She glanced at the jury knowing she had them won completely then looked at the judge
"Why don't these hero's have to follow the laws that they punish us for breaking? They break the law just as much as the people they catch, I believe they should get held to the same if not higher standards then our law enforcement, they must collect evidence of a crime, have proof, not just their own judgment "

Harley breaths heavily, this long winded talking was wearing her out

"This is the recording of the day Harley was captured, showing she had been doing nothing wrong "

The judge and jury disappeared into a back room

Nearly an hour later they returned
"After careful deliberation it has been decided that Harley Quinn is .......not guilty!"
He banged his gavel on the podium

"In exchange for her freedom she will be given parole and partial custody over y/n, no last name given who will be returned for the time being, further more by extension of this it has been preposed that one poison ivy shall be released, all in favor say I"

"Then it is done, Harley Quinn is no longer a prisoner of arkem asylum and is to be re integrated into society"

The court cheered as the guards unlocked her cuffs

Batman saw headlines rolling already about a new set of accords being preposed to the UN regarding so called Super hero's

He saw an alert on the screen from Jim Gordon
"Where's the kid Batman? According to those lunatics they go back to Harley, how did this happen?"

"I don't know....but the kids with the team... "

He hung up on him and rang up the den at happy harbor
"Tornado, get me robin, now!"

It was only seconds later that robin spoke
"Yes sir?"

"The kid.....I can't believe I'm saying this....Harley won..... the freed her, the back lash will be monumental and she won the kid back...."

Robin seemed speechless

"We can't.....she crazy, and we're just gonna hand her a kid"
