Serenity had just gotten Selene to go to sleep when her vulcan husband entered their shared living quarters.

"Oh...Spock, it's just you." Serenity breathed a sigh of relief. Spock looked at her slightly puzzled.

"Why would you expect someone else," he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Well....there's something I need to tell you, Spock. About the darkness of my past. About 300 years ago, a danger lurked beneath my very skin. Everything might have seemed fine to any ordinary passer by, but in reality things were anything but. I once went beserk, as a new power of darkness unique to my biological status emerged. My body began to change, and my fangs secreted a deadly venom that caused the Black Death. The military and scientists everywhere tried to find me, and I had to keep running until I managed to control my new power. That was the first incident. The second involved an excessive amount of strength, agility, and endurance that rivaled even vulcans. In an effort to stop the current war, I submitted my self to let them experiment with my blood. Around that time, I was taking care of a very small boy. His name was Khan, and he was the sweetest little thing. He was a young teen when it happened. I left him in the house for five minutes to answer the door of the small apartment we shared, and in that time, he was taken from me. Stolen was the child I had raised as my own, and taken were his memories, so he would never remember the mother he once had. That man now stands in your brig. The things they did to him to create such a monster, they were terrible things. Spock... I'm so scared that i won't be abe to protect all of you. When you almost died, if you had passed, the pain in my heart would have been so great, it could have exploded the Enterprise. I...don't think I can..." Tears spilled from Serenity's now gold and brown galaxy eyes. She buried her head in Spock chest and sobbed. " I cant kill any child of mine, nor any family member that I have. I hate to say this, but.... you are on you own." Spock grabbed Serenity's face and turned it up so he could see her beautiful and mesmerising eyes.

"We will get through this, my Thy'la.Thank you, for telling me," Spock whispered, and he kissed her passionately. "Let's meet up with your brother, and we can discuss the most logical way of how to deal with....Khan."

"Of course, my love. "
