Chapter twenty six

Niall's pov

"Niall" I felt someone poke my arm. I barley opened my eyes "mhm" I mumbled exhausted from barley sleeping in the past two weeks hoping Lila would wake up any day. "Niall" poke again.

I opened my eyes seeing that I was still holding Lila's hand. I smiled then looked to see Brooke and the guys there. I rubbed my eyes yawning and stretching. "mhm"? I still couldn't form words just yet.

"The doctor is coming in today to wake Lila up" I sat there for a moment trying to think what Brooke just said when it clicked. I couldn't help but smile.

"I get to see her beautiful brown eyes again" I whispered in my sleepy voice. "I get to talk to her and she actually can talk back" I smiled excited, everyone laughing.

"Lila" I spoke up, "i get to see your beautiful eyes and hear your voice again I missed you so much" I kissed her forehead squeezing her hand. I just hoped she would remember me.

A few hours later the door opened and in walked the man of the hour. "afternoon everyone, ready for the moment you've been waiting for"? We nodded our heads excited. "I want you guys to know that she's going to be groggy so if she doesn't remember you right away don't freak out"

"Lila" the doctor said her name softly. "Lila you can open your eyes now" I stood there impatient and excited to able to see her wake up. I watched her move her eyes for a couple seconds then open them.

I looked at Liam who was standing beside me with his hand on my shoulder, he smiled at me and I couldn't help but cry. "everything's alright Niall" he whispered. I nodded knowing he was right.

"Lila do you know where you are"? She looked around making eye contact with everyone including me my heart skipping a beat. She looked back at the doctor and shook her head no.

"You are in the hospital" I wanted to squeeze her so bad. "you were in a pretty serious accident a couple weeks ago with your friend but you are alright now" she nodded her head like she understands but I don't get why she's not speaking?

"Lila do you know your birthday" she shook her head no, I looked down. The doctor asked her a few more questions before leaving her side and taking us out into the hall.

"Like I said she just woke up she's groggy, I'll ask her the same questions tomorrow if she still doesn't know doesn't mean she has lost her memory forever she just needs time" I nodded my head. "Brooke you can stay but the rest of you need to give her space so go home and shower, talk to your families it's Christmas"

"C'mon Niall you heard the doctor" Liam whispered. I nodded making our way out and back to the hotel, I needed some sleep and a shower.
