Jaden's POV:

I start the long ass walk, tripping over the colossal roads my neighborhood had. I glanced at trees, moved bushes, and stepped back to look up rooftops.. but nothing seemed to show up. Old lady did mention the cat's color, but It's wonders to find only hers. I'm gonna see a thousand fucking white pearl cats walking around and won't even get the time to decide which to take.

I am a fool. I really am. What was It that I just couldn't say no to the goddamn lady? Was It the fucking kitty pantyhose she had on, under that repulsive skirt, or just my lack of speach with older people. Well, I have no clue, but fuck It now, I've already accepted her task.

I keep walking on and on. I take turns when I need to and when I see all the unknown dead ends we have in the neighborhood, I decide to go back. I'm sure I've already been juggling around this place for what seems like an hour.

I somehow remember the cereal I left at home, which must be all soggy and cold. I also left my phone there. How fucking stupid, can't do shit other than get back home and tell this old bitch that her cat isn't fucking here, or anywhere close. Must be part of a roadkill or something already.

Before I can continue cussing on and on continuously in my head, I hear a wail come from behind me. I slowly turn my head and try to find the subject.

There It was. Or, I think It's that one. It was white, standing next to a bush with big, fluffy, washed fur, as a little cat paw dangled from It's pink collar. Oh It's that one alright.

It watches me, as I watch it. I wasn't sure If running to It or slowly pacing myself to the cat would scare It the most. I mean, If I run I'm sure I'm completely losing that cat out of my view.

Wait.. now I wonder, why can't cat lady just ask the neighborhood's patrol to watch out for a white fucking cat? Was It that hard to just do that instead of annoying me, when I'm lacking motion in have of my face.

I look back down at the cat and watch closely as It licked It's paw. I took one step closer. It hasn't moved. I take another step, and I could feel my arms so close to grabbing It, but I was still less than a meter away. I push my foot to the front and slowly step on it. I concentrate on grabbing the cat in my next step, but as I don't see what's on the floor, I step on a small wooden branch and see how their eyes fall to me.

They stay still, and I did as well. I was really doubting I could grab It now.

I look at It, It looks at me, and It finally turns and starts running through the parkways of the different houses. I ran, as well, on the street. Our velocities were mixed up. The cat jumped things, still having fast moves, while I just ran.

Of course, I was doing this fucking hell of a job, while the old lady, right after I accepted this stupid ordeal for her, she got in her cozy ass home and forgot about her missing cat immediately.

If only my parents didn't care about their family's public image, I would've cussed the shit out of her, and every other person living near us in this shitty, fucked up neighborhood.

I was on to the cat still. I don't know how I can think about life and chase a wild animal, but I did. It was fast though, and after a long second of running from me, It decided to get into someone's garden. One of my hookup's garden. I grin in disbelief, even though I knew what was about to come up.

I step up to her door, and ring the doorbell. I wonder If she's even here anymore. I haven't seen her in a while now.

If there's no one here I'm surely just gonna jump over that fence and take the cat to where It needs to go, but lets try the safest route first.

"Who is this?" A tough voice comes from inside.

Fuck, since when do her parents exist in this hosue?
"Just a friend of your daughter"

"Oh really? What's her name.."

"Riley" I reply, stiff.

"She isn't home right now, go on." He replies through the closed door.

"My cat.. got in your garden.. I was wondering If I could take It and leave, you see."

The man sighs but accepts. Yeah, no shit. If I don't get that cat, I am a dead fucking dude.

"Just get past the fence, and don't mess the rose bush."

I go alongside the parkway and jump over the short white fence. There It was..

I clicked my fingers together to try and make It come to me. The only thing It did was grab It's attention.

"Psh, come here man." I whispered.

The cat just watched me make a fool of myself. Must be a good ass show.

"Ah, come here you asshole." I finally jump to get him and In full discoverment, I did. I held It's body with the strongest force possible, but still not trying to hurt It. It tried to bit my finger, and then scratched my arms, which fucking hurt like hell, but I grabbed It and pulled It under my arm.

"You are a hard one, no fucking doubt." I rubbed It's head.

Once I realized where I was standing, I took the last strength I had and ran back home. The guy didn't see me do it, but oh how he's going to fucking know It was me. At least the house Is five blocks away, I mean, not much might occur.

I finally hit on the old lady's door and give her back her cat. She told me I got the right one. She even told me to desinfect the scratches just for my sake. I think she holds pity for me.

She closed the door after small talk. I got my guts and walked over to my house. It was all looking like It used to be. Nobody came home, and nobody robbed It, for that matter. I'm still surprised that didn't happen, cause I did leave It without keys.

I sit down at the high chair and look at the soggy cereal standing right in front of me. My grunt comes out slow, but I do clean it off and put the bowl and spoon in the washer.

My phone comes with me as I make the tough but also easy decision to spend the remaining day in my room. I didn't have to care about Claire, nor my parents. Didn't have to care about Camille, or Caleb. I had nothing and no one pending, and I thought that as a good start to this fucking hell of a day.

I yawn as I'm a step away from my room.

"Boo!" I get jumped at from the bathroom.

I'm startled, but I look at them confused.

"Since when do you know where I live? And did you really have to come Inside, instead of.. I don't know.. fucking waiting outside like normal people do?"

She laughs and walks side to side after I spoke..

"Soo.. first of all, It's not that hard to find your address in my brother's phone.. and secondly, you left the door open. If It wasn't for me, you could have anyone in here right now."

"Oh really?" I mock her new confidence.

"Yep, here's today's mail. I got It for you." She hands me a ton of mail to my father's name, and I just end up letting them fall on the floor, following my vision to her as she sat on my bed, and strongly grinned, scrunching everything up to her eyes.
