Signa's POV
"Hey" I wave and smile as I get to the door.
There's a second of silence where our triangle is just observing each other, like dumbasses.
Jaden was dressed pretty nicely. Just a pair of joggers with nikes, and a strongly gray shirt on top. He's dressed himself much more comfortable than me.
"Yeah, okay, go get a room you two" My brother pushes me out the door and I'm catched by his friend, as If this were a cliché, romantic movie.
Jaden ungrasped his arms from around my body, and once I looked up at him, I felt like a midget all of a sudden.
I propered my posture next to him and finally felt the missing centimeters come to place. I'm 5'8. Not as tall, but at least I reach most things.
Heights are really handy. I'm sorry to everyone who's smaller.. (The writer's offended because she's 5'2. Yeah, It's sad).
"Come on," He says, as I hear a car unlock.
"We're taking Caleb's car?" I'm surprised at the gesture. My brother borrowing his car for me? I didn't think guys could get along so easily after a fight, but this time I've really been caught by surprise.
"He offered, I accepted. Your brother really does love you even If you don't believe It."
I was in awe as I watched Jaden get inside. I was paused for a second at the image.
"Get in loser, we're going shopping" His voice peaks the highest acute I think he could bare to make, and made me laugh as I got in the passenger's seat.
"So.. what did you plan for today?" I say, as I pull the seatbelt over my torso.
"No clue whatsoever. I think I have something in mind but I'll think about It as we go" He flails his hand in front of me.
"You do have a license, right?" I laugh nervously, before I pulled my legs up and crossed them together over the seat.
His hand falls on my left thigh and I'm clueless to the reason. "Don't worry, I took the test recently so yeah. Still need to get myself my own proper car though.."
He relieves his hand from my thigh and starts the engine.
I somewhat feel like a 20 year old leaving with my boyfriend to get groceries or something. It's just my imagination, of course. I can't really tell what the future has in store for me.
We rode out of my neighborhood and drove the streets onto the highway.
"
Tell me, what's your favorite food" He jumps with a question out of nowhere.
I hum, as I started concentrating on his hands gripping the bottom of wheel, "I'm a pretty big fan of seafood"
"Shit.."
"What?" I stop distracting myself over his hands and turn to his face.
"Seafood kills my stomach."
"Oh.. Don't worry then, we can eat whatever you want. I'm pretty much tolerant to anything." I smile to myself.
"Oh, really?" He smirked, pressing down on the pedal.
He's totally thinking spicy food, isn't he..
The drive on the highway was pretty fast, before we got back down to the streets, where he started taking turns on avenues I would never recognize If It weren't for him bringing me here.
He took a parking spot in a lot which was actually almost full, and we were finally there.
"You ever been here?" He asks, as he unbuckled his seatbelt.
I observe around to find a name. Bayside.
"I don't think so" I shake my head, as I take off my jacket and throw It to the back.
The nervous feeling has made me intensely steam in this car. Also, weather isn't that windy today, so I'd rather just leave It.
If I'm cold, I can always ask him for a hug.
Now that's a clever idea."It's more like a place for tourists and stuff, but I've been here before with the guys."
I nod as I get out the car.
"The guys as in.. my brother, and his friends?""No.." He laughs. "I actually do.. I mean, did have a circle out of school. They're pretty much nothing today but we all used to be good friends." He planted a straight smile on his lips and I suspected that was a bad question to ask.
I'll shut up about stuff like that from now on.
As we walked through an ark, I realize that this was very familiar all of a sudden.
"I think I ate here once" I pressed my lips together, trying to recognize when.
"Really?"
"Mhm, auntie's birthday." I remembered. Weird, I'm never used to remembering things.
"So you guys do have family here? Caleb always tells me you guys don't but I don't know how to believe his stupid ass anymore."
"No yeah, that was like 10 years ago when I was the type of kid with no mental state whatsoever. My aunt left to New York.. I've got no idea why." I said, as I loomed my eyes around the stores.
"But now you do have a mental state?" He picks at the back of my head with one of his fingers.
"I don't know, I am going out with a guy I barely know. Do you think I have mental state?" I say with a quirky tone, because It was all sarcasm indeed.
True that I don't know him that much, but I do somehow understand his type of personality even without knowing him.
His arm grips around my neck and my heart flutters at his body getting closer.
"Okay, you may or may not be going out with a dumbass, who barely shows who he is. But, but, but.. this same dumbass right here, really cares about the little dumbass next to him and he won't let the date go to waste even for a second."
"First of all, you just called me a little dumbass, and secondly, how's It that you're not gonna let It go to waste" I raised up my fingers as I counted my quotes.
He laughed intentionally into my ear. "You'll see."
My hand was clasped by his and he immediately pushed up his pace so I'd have to follow him anywhere and everywhere he went.
