Signa's POV

"I like you" I mumbled to myself, as I relocated my eyes to the same wall he was staring.

I pucker my lips once the words were out.
(👁👄👁)(sorry i had to lmao).

A moment of silence takes place before he looks at me.
"You like.. the wall?" he jokes, mostly to himself.

"Yeah, I like the wall," I closed my eyes in frustration. This dude is impossible.

"Can I be the wall then?" He leans into me like a kid.

My lips pucker up again, as his face was centimeters away from mine. His breath heavily flowed to my face, and It wasn't obnoxious.

His eyes were like mirrors, cause I could see my amplified face looking like a clueless idiot through them.

"I mean, If you wanna be the wall, that means I'd like you.. as the wall" I awkwardly laugh before falling straight in my seat again.

I feel like I'm babbling complete nonsense now.

"You know, we should try going out on a date" He straightens out his legs over my knees, as If his chair were a bed.

"A date?" I shrink at the word.

"Yeah, I mean, you asked me what I see you as. I thought I knew, but I actually don't, so we should try something like that and see for ourselves."

So he completely obliviated when I said I liked him..

"But- "

I stop myself. What the hell, Signa. You've been stopping yourself from tearing hairs out of a girl you thought was going out with him just yesterday. You're not skipping this now.

"But?" He raises an eyebrow, before lowering his legs just so a lady could cross the aisle. I realized he has more legs than his whole body.

"But nothing. We can go out." I feel my heart pump out of my chest at my own reaction.

"okay, nice" He raises his legs over my knees again.

I feel a bit disoriented at the moment, but I let my arms drift over his legs and basically rested over them. If we're gonna get close, I'm not letting another second skip.

So.. we're going on a date. This is finally.. fucking happening.

Once Caleb got back, Jaden sat straight, I sat straight, and my brother put on the weirdest look.
I smiled all the way up to my eyes. Neither me or him could tell If I was excited that I was invited to a date, or terrified that I was invited to a date. Guess we'll have to find out.

Our responsible adults finally walk out, with the most defeated looks ever.

We separate ways as Jaden did a little "call me" gesture before I got in the car. I laughed It out, but once I got in, my eyes almost popped out at how shocked I was.

Is this a normal thing that happens when you're invited to a date?
I mean, how the hell should I know. I know nothing.

I don't know how to even control myself the day of my own party.

Now that I'm thinking about the party, what happened to Camille. It's weird that she wasn't at the hospital, or is it just me.

I haven't spoken to her in days. I think, since my birthday, actually.

That's weird.

But Jaden.. Jaden.. Jaden. What the hell am I gonna do with you.
I smack my face in my hands at the thought.

As we get home, I pick up my pace and get to my room faster than Caleb could to his. Yes, we're the type of siblings who battle to getting through the house door faster.

I relay my thoughts and throw myself in bed.

Before I could do anything else, I sent a message to Camille, and another one to Jaden. Yeah, I am kind of in a hurry for them to pick up.

After, I finished homework and ate a piece of cheesecake that was left in the fridge. In continuation to that, had the longest shower of my life, and when I thought It was finally the right time to check my phone, and I swear It was hard enough to not peek beforehand, I picked It up and read any notification;

friday at 6 seems nice?

Cam:

we need to talk

I'm surprised she actually replied.. with the worst comment to ever exist in her dialect. I wonder what's going on in her mind to say she want to talk. Weird.
I still had one more text.

Caleb:
hey sis
rather text you this bc im too lazy to walk over there
tf you doing with jaden? again?

I rock the hell out of my room and jump into Caleb's immediately.

There he was, lying in bed, as he flipped an undone rubix cube in unequaled turns. It gave me a tension headache to just observe It.

"What?" He said in low breath.

"Why do you ask about Jaden? How do you know things that I never tell you, does he tell you? Should I not be doing this? Why don't you ever say what you think?" I frown in front of him before sitting down on his desk chair.

"He's my friend, Signa. I know him better than you would in a million years."

As If..
Give me a million years and you'll see how much I've learned.

"What's so bad about It then?" I turn the chair to his desk and grab a pencil, drawing over one of his homework sheets.

"He was with Ashley, for starters. Girl's no good-"

"Says the one who cheated on his girlfriend with her. You fucking hypocrite." I hit the pencil on the sheet, making the graphite break into pieces.

"I have nothing to do with Jaden and you going out on a date, though."

"Whatever, just tell me what I should be careful about." I rest my head on the table, over my now folded arms.

"First, If you're looking for something serious, say It before It's too late. He'll give up on you If you're not straightforward about It."

"The fuck?" I furrow my eyebrows turning to my brother. He shrugs and continues working on the cube.

I let my head fall down again.

"Second, dates for him are like a friend reunion. Don't think It's special from his side, unless you make It special."

I keep listening, as my head starts feeling drowsy. I feel like he's tried to go out with Jaden from the amount of deep information he's amusingly throwing right now..

"Third, and please for the love of god get this one straight inside your head.."

I turn to look at him again.

"don't trust him so easily. He isn't what you see from the outside. He's the total opposite."
