Sammy's Little Sister

Chapter 7

Today was Tuesday so that meant double practice for me. Great. I just finished at volleyball practice and i quickly took off my court shoes and slipped on my slides grabbed my bag and went straight to the bathroom. I took off my spandex and replaced them with sliding shorts. After that i took off my nike socks and put on my long socks, i proceeded and put on my black pants. I finished by tucking in my shirt but not all the way and put my belt on. I kept the same shirt on because i just had a t-shirt on and why waste a new shirt. I put my slides back on and put my clothes in my backpack and hurried to my car. If you haven't figured it out by now i play softball too. I got to the field in about 20 minutes and I was the 5th one there. I parked my car and went to the trunk and grabbed my nike bag and my softball bag. I closed my trunk locked my car and walked to the field.
"You look like shit" my cousin Helen said.
"Oh thanks, because thats what every girl wants to hear" i laughed while i put my cleats on.
"Did you just come from volleyball ?" she asked
"Yuhpp" i answered
"Ready ?" She asked as i stood up
"Yeah. C'mon" i said grabbing a ball. Helen was my cousin and we were helllllllaaaa close. She was also my warm up buddy :). She was 18 years old and 5'3 she was pretty short when she stood next to me considering i was 5'10. Lol. Helen played anywhere you put her but she does best as a pitcher, 1st baseman, 2nd baseman and center fielder. I on the other hand am a pitcher and a catcher. If im not pitching you'll find me behind the plate. The funny thing about it is i hate catching and yet thats where I'm stuck most.
*skips to end of practice*
"wanna come over" i asked Helen as we were changing from our cleats to slides.
"Yess. Do you ever not have anybody over ?" She laughs
"Yessssss. but when nobody's at my house I'm at theirs" i said and we both laugh
"Don't judge me. I don't want a boring life okay" i said and we just got into my car because she got a ride here from someone so she didn't have hers.
"You hungry ?" I asked and she just looked at me like i was an idiot.
"Right. What do yo..nvm" i said and drove to Chipotle because we all have an inner white girl.
(A/N guys call me weird or whatever but i've never had Chipotle..i've ha In-N-Out once and i don't like the Habit....)
We ate our food there because if we took it home we wouldn't get a chance to eat it. We ate then got back in the car and I filled her in on whats been happening.
"Hey i have a question" she said
"Ask away"
"Have you told Sammy you guys aren't blood related yet ?" She asked
"Um. No. Part of me doesn't know how to tell him and the other part of me is saying don't tell him blood doesn't make family love does" so i don't know.
It was getting late when we finally got home so we took showers and changed into pj's. We were just talking when Cam came to my room.
"Hey, oh sorry i didn't know you had company" he said and walked away
"No Cam ! Its cool" i said and he came back
"Whats up ?" I asked
"Oh Sammy just wanted me to tell you that we are all going to watch a movie downstairs if you want to join" he said and i could tell he was staring at Helen. 😏
"What movie ?"
"Uh i think they picked 21 Jump Street" he said
"Im done. You ?" I asked Helen.
"Yeah lets go" she said and we got up.
"Oh by the way Cam this is Helen she's my cousin. She's also on my softball team. And Helen, Cam yeah. Talk away !" Yelled as i ran downstairs leaving them alone😏😊.
I got down to the basement and saw everyone down there already and i saw there was no room on the couch anymore. I saw Shawn and i went to go sit next to him but on the floor and on my way down he grabbed my waist and pulled me on top of him.
"Shawn I'm going to crush you" i laughed and tried to get up bit he tightened his grip.
"No you're not. You're really light Princess" i blushed when he called me that and he adjusted me so now he was kinda holding me like a baby. I had my head on his chest and i was sitting on his lap sideways my legs hanging off the end of the couch. It was actually really comfortable. And Shawn wrapped his arms around me 'so i don't fall' as he put it.
"Will you go on an date with me tomorrow night ? He whispered in my ear. I was caught off guard but soon processed the question and i turned my head to answer him
"I would love to" i said as i kissed his cheek and he interlocked our hands together and kissed the top of my head.
