Sammy's Little Sister

Chapter 11

Shawn's POV
Its been 3 weeks. 3 weeks since The incident. 3 weeks since i've heard her speak and heard her beautiful laugh, seen her gorgeous smile and sparkling eyes. I haven't left her side once. The nurses started letting me use the shower here once they figured out i wasn't going to leave her and one of the guys brought me clothes everyday. I sat there telling her how much i've missed her and how much i needed her as i held her hand. I kissed her hand and i felt her squeeze. Oh my god she squeezed my hand. Then her chest stopped moving up and down and the monitor beeped loudly showing flat line. No no no no no no.
"NURSE !" I called out
"NURSE I NEED A NURSE IN HERE" i cried again
Three nurses came running into the room kicking me out and as i was leaving all i heard was
"CLEAR" and the a shock.
My back slid down the wall as i cried and imagined my life without her. But the thing is, she is my life. I remember what it was like before i met her and it was boring, dull and not okay. When she's around my life is perfect. She completes me and the thought of losing her tears me apart. It hurts me just seeing her like this.
My thoughts were interrupted when the nurses walked out.
"Mr. Mendes, Isabell is okay but, she has lost some of her memory. She will wake up anytime now so when she does if she doesn't remember you stay calm. Do not force her to remember because it will make it worse. Let her memory come back on its own" she explained and i nodded my head in agreement
"You may see her now" she told me and i thanked her and walked in. I took my spot back on the chair next to her and held her hand again. All the guys walked in about 5 minutes later and her mom Dani, Alissa and Helen followed behind. I explained to the what the nurse told me and they all said okay or oh my god. About 10 minutes after they came in, Isabell's eyes started to flutter open.
One of the nurses walked in just then.
"Oh good, Good morning Ms.Wilkinson do you know where you are sweetie ?" She asked her. Isabell shook her head no, and she looked scared.
"You are at *hospital name here* and my name is Nurse Moreno." she told her
"W-why a-am i h-here" she stuttered
"You are here because about 3 weeks ago, during the middle of the night there was a break in at your house. You and your brother were both shot. Don't worry he is fine he's right here." she said and pointed to Sammy.
"You pretty much saved his life. When he was shot you put your hand over his wound to stop bleeding and saved a lot of blood from being lost. But you on the other hand were shot in the shoulder. I'm not sure what happened but when you were shot you didn't even notice and you were just determined to save your brother and get out of there. But while doing so you lost a lot of blood and blacked out which out you in a coma for 3 weeks, which is why you are here" she explained and Isabell didn't say anything. Her mouth was open and she was shaking.
"Do you know any of the people in this room Ms.Wilkinson ?" The nurse asked her. She still didnt speak she only shook her head yes.
"Can you tell me the names of the people you know ?"
She nodded again but it took her a few seconds to speak.
"S-Sammy" she said and paused scanning the room pausing after every name.
"D-Dani"
"Matt"
"C-am"
"M-Mama"
"Sh-awn" she said.

Isabell's POV
"Do you recognize anybody else sweetie ?" She asked me. I scanned the room
"No" i said and shook my head.
"Do you know why" she asked ?
I shook my head no
"Well when you blacked out, you fell on the ground and hit your head really hard. When you got here you had cracked your head open so we had to stitch it up and during that time you had lost so much blood from your head and shoulder which put you in the coma. But when you hit your head you lost some memory" she said
"So i suggest that you guys go around the room say your names and see if she remembers then. But if you guys need me my name is Nurse Moreno so just give me a call and i'll be here" she said and walked out of the room
Sammy's POV
Thank god she remembered me i don't know what i would've done if she hadn't. I feel so bad for Alissa though, she's her best friend and Isabell doesn't remember her but she remembered Dani. But then again she was also a lot closer to Dani. I walked over to Isabell and gave her a huge hug.
"I love you so much sis. Thank you for saving my life. I could never repay your for that" i whispered in her ear as she hugged me tighter
"I love you to Sammy. I don't know what i would've done without you" she said and. I let go if her and Shawn gave her a hug next.
"You remembered me" he said
"How could i forget" she said and pulled away.
"I know you were here everyday. I heard everything you were saying but every time i tried to speak i couldn't it was like my lips were glued. I tried moving and i couldn't it felt like i weighed 1,000 pounds. When i finally did move, i squeezed your hand, but then second later i couldn't hear anything anymore" she said and started crying.
"Shh shh its okay Princess, you're awake and okay now. Thats all that matters" he told her. After they were done everyone went around the room and said their names.
"Carter"
"Jack...Johnson"
"Jack Gilinsky"
"Taylor"
"Aaron"
"Nash"
"Hayes"
"Whats the matter sis ?" I asked her as i saw her looking at one of the guys weirdly
"Oh uh, sorry its just that i thought i recognized one but when he said his name it wasn't the name i was thinking" she explained
"Well you gave some of them nicknames so what name was it ?"
"Well theres 2. One is Hamilton and the other was i think chubby cheeks" she said and i laughed
"Hamilton is Nash's real name but you call him that to make him mad. Chubby cheeks is Aaron, you gave him that nickname when you first met" i explained to her.
"Wait. You, i play volleyball with you right ?" she asked pointing to Alissa.
"Lissy ?" She asked and Alissa ran up and hugged her.
"I love you so much oh my gosh" she cried into Isabell's shoulder and Isabell hugged back.
"I love you too" she said back.
